Very well stated. That should clear things up for people I think.
Most people like Valley and it's Car and Physics and some people don't.
I get the sense that you (stevenamtaan) feel the way I do about it. Love the Environment. Love the Car. Like the physics ok but was hoping they were going to have more of a "Rally feel".

(@ stevenamtaan) Understood for the "French" aspect, but i still don't get your point regarding the physics. :)

@Demented – you have pretty much nailed it..
Love the environment, love the car and its sounds but overall only "like" the physics.

@TMarc – thankyou for your understanding.. ;)

@Romain42 – thanx also for your understanding and I will briefly try to describe how I feel the car handles in some different situations .

So firstly I consider the Valley car to be more of a "rally" style car . I say this because of the 5.*.* block sets(offroad). For the car , when driving on single and twin lane gp/asphalt (1.*.* , 2.*.* , 3.*.*) blocks sets , its has very good traction and a kind of "heavy" feeling. From the gp/asphalt to platform(4.*.*) surface the car sometimes makes a "thud" type sound(I like this sound) which gives the impression of a heavier car , which also maintains very good traction. For when driving in a loop or on a wallride the car then seems to have a much "lighter" feeling and much less control. For myself anyhow , when the car comes to offroad sections it has a "light" feeling and this would be why I say the car is almost "floating" and there seems very little traction which leads to "less control" of the car.
1. I would have preferred if the Valley car had physics more similar to the Stadium car when driving in offroad situations.
2. A little less of the "heavy" for gp/asphalt but then a little more of the "heavy" when in loops or on wallrides.
3. As for grass I think this is quite OK and really depends on the track and how it is used.
Hope this makes some sense .. :|

These are my thoughts/opinions only and practice may be the only solution.. :?

I would still like to hear how players/drivers feel in regards to Valley’s handling , to share their views and opinions... ... :pil

Have you tried driving the canyon car (w/canyon physics) in the valley env?

Yes and some very interesting scenario's indeed. The steering/turning ratio's are very different or more subtle. The car seems to handle well on the gp/asphalt/platform surfaces and the feelings on dirt/offroad are somewhat different also. I'm not sure whether or not this was because the Canyon car was originally intended for the Valley envi though.
I've also tried the Valley cars physics on Canyon tracks and come across some surprising driving characteristics.. ;)
I had previously tried several Canyon maps with the Stadium car and before writing this I thought to open up Stadium and loaded a Valley track which had several offroad sections and was surprised to find that the Stadium car had very "heavy" traction in offroad , virtually no drift or floating feelings.. :o A bit too heavy perhaps.. :? One particular track I drove that had no offroad but some jumps and transitions from gp to platform surfaces was really fun. Valley car time for the track about 39 secs even and for the Stadium car a sub 35 secs with drift..

I had many fun times and experiences back in TMUF on different envi mixed tracks. Rally car on Coast , Coast on Desert , Desert on Stadium , Stadium on Island , etc etc.

I have no idea how to build like this in TM2 as how we could in TMUF. Now would be a good time to be able to implement something like this as we have 3 envi’s.

Purpose built envi mixed tracks could provide some very interesting gameplay .. :3 .. :pil

Just how do you do that?

Launch Maniplanet ~ Load Canyon ~ Quit Canyon ~ Load Valley.
It's a current glitch.
The first env you start sets the physics. If you go into another env (without quitting MP) you will retain the physics of the env first loaded. Quit Maniaplanet and restart it to load another env with its physics.
