First, I dont think "we" can make the share prices :D I think you mean something like an exchange rate right? so there is a changing value of planets? Why should they do that?

PS: Ich denke es wäre vernünftiger es auf englisch zu erklären anstatt einfach eine Übersetzung anzugeben, da wir im englischen Forum sind und andere auch eine Meinung dazu haben.

reading the comments here, I hesitate more to convert coppers to planets (with a exchange rate)
anyway, I would like to confirm that nothing is yet decided for this
Yes finally, doing a conversion can be bad.
Ah, a question for Hylis ....
Planets can be purchased with real money ?
:D

Anyway, I don't want to get too much into the details because it can change. I have decided to say my status now, but it could be annoying to discuss all this. It is a little like with the DRM, I have not yet started to make my opinion that I have to debate on what could be a protection system next year. For me, it is a little too early to discuss about this.
It seems to be you can earn the planets ingame (doing manialinks and such stuff), or buy them by real money.
But we will see how this will develope in the future.
And if you think about purchasing ingame money with real money, just take a look at ingame gold at WoW.

EXACTLY. We already have enough issues to worry about with spammers, boosters, and other cheaters and wannabes. Why add in-game money-laundering and who knows what else to the mix? When you create this type of economy, almost instantly you'll get spammers and bots advertising to e-mail this addy for 10,000 planets for only $10 or something like that. It's really out of hand in Runescape and other free/cheap MMOs. But if you start charging for TM, you'll drive away SCORES of players.

Well they can code a Planet use via ManiaScript only for developers on server side (cheaters can go home), so can be created a big business around the game, helping the game to raise more and more. More interests, more advertise, more players, more money, all happy!!!!
I know, i talk always of money. Ahaha.
Please Nadeo, make something EPIC, where the other game never arrived before.
Make the biggest business ever made in game Factory. (I have all in my mind, lol, i will dream it tonight!!!)

I kindof agree with the fact money should be kept out of this, especially money for Gekko!

I belive in Kudos powered gaming, fight for your reputation ...people wanting to make a business should really think of a better platform (like getting a real job?).

It's a very old saying that business and pleasure do not mix, and allthough you can sell entertainment, continual charge would be a disaster and as stated above would drive the hardcore element of TM away.

one of TM's greatest achievments was giving away TMN for free and enabling all manner of poor teenagers with not much cash to pickup a cheap keyboard for their aging dad's PC and being able to join the fun, if you involve to much finance the game will not be a successfull as it previously was imo.

Plus isn't selling ingame commodity still ilegal in europe?? (user to user)

Gekko your idea's are allways detremantal to the fun of the game, and allways thinking of you own pocket, selfish is one word for it, there are also others that it would be impolite to use here!!

And as far as TM1 coppers transfer is concerned, this will be a new game and i think it should have nothing to do with old savings (means i would loose half a million coppers but who cares?, certainly not me as it's not real!). :D
