Yeah but this is TrackMania contest. This would be possible for ShootMania only (items + gates).

Just try to do for this game TrackMania.
I really need to create the appearance of objects in the TM. I can create a special self-effects. Most important thing for my triggers - they should not respond to the others until I will press Enter-- reset the counter the expense of my triggers. Possible?

Time to announce the winner...

The competition winning idea is ManiaExchange Knock-Out requested by djhubertus! Gratz!

The mode will be developed in next 2 weeks.

Why I choose this one?
Every week there is an MX KnockOut and the event still uses server controller plugin as game mode. Why not making a script version of the mode with more abilities and less lags for these events? ;)

@Other submissions:
  • Reaby - the idea is very nice, although I see the mode not so populated. Anyway nice request and I'll think about it in future :thumbsup:
  • Adamkoo & Nerpson - I'll connect your ideas and make very simple script with instant respawn and AccelCoef/ControlCoef settings :) It's so easy so no problem for me.
  • Other users - the ideas were not possible to be done, complicated or very hard to do. Thaks for requesting them anyway ;)

This contest is end, but i don't care :D

I creating maps for my new title pack in classic NFS theme, but this will be useless TP without any new maptype/gamemode. What about a races with damage limit (heavily damaged player got race end), or check with "traffic" cars collisions, like in Pursuit gamemode? And some acceleration/control limitations (because TM cars is 2fast for real)

What you described here would be pretty cool but it's impossible or nearly. Even if ManiaScript opens a large amount of possibilities, this is not supported. :?

After the fact obviously, but would it be possible to create a speedrun title pack?

For example, a titlepack that would play through the campaign tracks in order, while adding up the overall time on the tracks but discarding loading times.

I know that Frostbuele has speedrun both Canyon and Stadium campaigns, but the loading times alone would cause a significant time loss (for me and others I'd guess). Also, oftentimes in the campaign the opponent selection window will pop up and force me to change opponents before I can start the track, I don't know why. But things like this make it so speedrunning the game is not practical. Not to mention there is no "next track" button.

And while I don't play Stadium, I know I would 100% watch streams of people speedrunning. It could even end up creating more exposure for the game as watching a speedrun allows for a good jumping on point for new players.
