Am i the only one who thinks this is a bit weird?
Why publicly announce a NDA closed beta AND then it starts before the "real" date AND content gets taken down.
Is this some weird marketing trick

No, you're not the only one wondering that. Well I think the beta is actually taking place over in the ubisoft forums. The post here was just to let ones here know that the beta is going on. And also for those that might not go to the right place, they'd at least be aware of NDA.

Why it started several days early is a good question. Perhaps it's simply a case of the wrong dates for the beta being posted. From what I've gathered from other players, the keys are being sent out somewhat randomly to those who preordered the game on PS4. Haven't heard of anyone on XBone getting beta yet.

I know this function, but I just get rekt for lack of PC beta.

From the streams, i saw already all i wanted.

Gotta say im calmer now, but i still think this is a pretty unfair move for us PC players.

Atleast i know that my hype train was going too fast.

But GG, it's a nice game

We are not needed for the beta at the moment. This game's purpose is to make it as "newcomer friendly" as possible, so ofc. they will release the beta on console, where most players are new.

No, just because we are still waiting since 2011 for an awesome ManiaPlanet.

They finally did 2 TrackMania :
TrackMania Turbo : for players
TrackMania² : for creators

Nobody will buy 4 x 19.99 = 80Euros
Nobody wants 4 separated environnements while they can pay once, play and switch of envionnements easily.
Nobody will play on a deserted game, with useless creating tools because of the lack of players.
Everybody prefer a game with awesome textures, cars and 3D objects
Everybody prefer a game where you can share easily your maps on public servers

I can still dreaming for a beautiful ManiaPlanet because it will never happen. ManiaPlanet 4 will just be new objects
and that's it...
