As we said in the first post, it's the first preview among 7 articles on various parts of Maniaplanet 4. Some of them will be much bigger than this one :)

I ask because I race against saved replays and have thousands of them.
-> You can even use TMUF and TMN Replays in MP, so... I don't think this will be a problem.^^ As much as I know the replays just contain wich block is placed at which spot, the Mediatracker, the way the car is driving and things like that. If you want to race against your old replays you maybe have to recompute the shadows.

The fast shadows has not yet been re-integrated but will be. About the more local & specific issues, like the painter, that's more something we will look after during beta & updates. At the moment we had big work to do to make these deeper challenge.

Nadeo is finally showing us what they are doing with their games (to be honest, it started year ago with Turbo previews, but k).
@Domino, Yep.. I'm one of them.
At least I managed to make some new items... (using the last version of Blender for Win XP...)

Just taking my sweet time since I still need to find a good 9x/2K/XP-like file manager to go with XFCE. (so I won't feel like a fish out of water)

Either than, or get a Win10 file manager package replacement which looks like 9x explorer.exe-s to convince me to switch...

Hey Hypercycle btw. (it's N/A here, under the old username... which I haven't bothered updating)

To go with XFCE? Are you saying you're running Linux? :P (In which case, kinda off-topic, but try pcmanfm :P)

Hopefully the change to DX11 will allow a performance boost when running it with WINE (even though they say that DX11 implementation is lagging behind at the moment). Else I'll need to wait for my next CPU/GPU upgrade to play MP again.

What's a point for remove a working DX9 render?! I have now a DX10 card (9800GT from 2008), but what people with DX9-cards will do?

Those screenshot comparision were made on the lowest possible settings, right? I can't believe, tm2 is lookingthat bad. I'm playing stadium bi-weekly on ultra and it looks much better than 'very nice' screenshot. Does it mean, MP4 is an obvious graphical downgrade to increase performance?
My Gamemodes:
MP4 - Countdown, Firefight
MP3 - Reduction, Overload, Flashpoint, Territory, SM Race, Escape
MP2 - Search & Destroy, Oscillation, Instagib

Well, unfortunately that's only partially accurate. When MP3 was released a replay saved under MP2 and one made under MP3 (created on the same exact track) became incompatible. Thus I had to choose between only MP2 or only MP3 replays, I could no longer play against, for example 10 replays with 5 created under MP2 and 5 from MP3. I even asked Nadeo if there was a way to convert them and they said "No, unfortunately they are no longer compatible". At that time I had saved 20 replays for each track that I raced on and had to throw them all away and start over. I now have around 300 tracks that I've created and I race my top 25 replays on (at the same time). That's around 7500 replays, so you can see why I asked this question.

Are there plans to add the floor reflection effect on TM Turbo's Stadium into TM2?
