I'm in the same boat as pb_foot.
I played a bit this afternoon and went from 5607 LP to 9622 LP.
Now when I log in, my Ladder Points are listed as 5607 LP everywhere except on the state ranking list, where it displays 9622 LP.
Logged in as "oreb", the screenshot below shows #16 with 5607 LP at the top of the page, and #8 with 9622 LP in the list.

I think I have the same issue as the previous two posters, I think they just aren't picking up on the other symptoms that I mentioned in my first post.
