I've been totally absent from this topic, and for that I apologize. I've been enjoying Valley this past month and really couldn't think about doing much on the forums when I'd rather be playing. I haven't even kept up reading this topic and only recently read through the whole thing. Sorry about that.
I want to say a BIG thank you for:
- Valley!!! It was well worth the wait! Awesome gameplay, beautiful to look at, and MANY cool new possibilities by integrating some very useful official objects into the game. It's far from a perfect environment, but it brings some nice diversity to TrackMania 2 and it's very fun environment to build and drive in.
- MediaTracker undo/redo. It's already saved me multiple times. I can't thank you enough for adding this!
- Car lights for all configurations. This really levels the playing field and makes it so everyone is playing with the same lighting. I often play on very fast because I like the fps boost, and having headlights is really appreciated!!!
- EnvMix headers and autosave replays fixed. Adding this information to headers has allowed MX to properly support maps and replays and has greatly improved things for MX mappers and drivers. Thank you!!
- Offline mode for buddy chat. I don't know when you added it, but I love it!
- Custom configuration settings in launcher. This is very useful as I often change between different settings for video/screenshot making and playing.
- Fix for lightmap computation from replays. This is great because I use this a lot!
- Smaller triggers for MT. This isn't even something I considered, but now that it's here I'm seeing some exciting new possibilities.
Thanks also for all the other little fixes and new features that have come recently! I also appreciate that you rolled back some changes like the way intros were changed, and extending the time for chat expiring to 1 minute instead of 15 seconds.
I know sometimes it must feel like a thankless job, but rest assured there are people out here who appreciate your work. Thanks for everything you do to improve this game we all love so much! I played TM United Forever for years with little to no changes, and I was still very happy with the game. ManiaPlanet feels much more alive development-wise and it's great that things keep moving forward. It's great to be a part of it in some small way. Keep going guys!
