Keyboard warrior here ! :D
I just use a xbox360 controller to have a better control on dirt on TM Valley :pil

On TMT, i just have hard times understanding people denigrating Nadeo cos of non multiplatform multiplayer, the prices of the game, the fact that Lagoon only is released next year on MP, etc...

Through that strategy, i truly see that they want to please a maximum of people, new ones and also and overall ancient trackmaniacs like us :)
As always, they want to propose us something fresh and new (more arcade here) but also propose it to non trackmaniacs. Maybe you can see a "community splitting" but that community is not only players : there are also a lot of creators (hello meuh, purification and many others :thx: ). And they can't forget those guys : cos they help Nadeo filling the TM games with elements we all want in.

As someone said earlier, MP is for creation, TMT for racing and consoles mainly. Let everyone has its fun on each platform, guys. :thx:

(PS: TMT + Lagoon = Hype, thank you Nadeo for some news !)

SUPER SONIC SPEED !

Look for niebo26 in TMU & in TM² :)

Yup, I don't get that perception that communities are split. They are "split" in many more ways than you may think , yet they're all talking about the same games. Some may play united forever environments, some may be dedicated to canyon, I am trying to find a way to make it technically possible for me to make love to Lagoon because I'm seriously hyped for that but Okey. Everyone has their own trackmania flavor and prefference.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's hardcore trackmania 1 beta demo players sill around somewhere LOL.

The thing is that in tournaments, the comunity is making it's own nexus for managing all of the environments and bring them together if they can.

Now I've read hello planet 5 a bit more, and from what I can gather they have now a live team. Would this mean that maybe in turbo, they want console players to connect to sessions, not dedicated servers that we run. In the console landscape that is something that ubisoft is going to have to host so Nadeo is making the infrastructure for that. I'm speculating that because on consoles there's no such thing as a dedicated servers, console users wil connect to ubisoft hosted shards.

Could it be that it's the same for PC ?

on the modding side, I hope I can make my own music on lagoon either in turbo or MP, or maybe this is reserved for the MP version of lagoon. i'm thinking out loud here and hope Hylis or somebody could correct me.

Anyways, trackmania can be many things. For some people it's just racing, for others it's modding and you need pc for that. But judging from hello planet, there'll be rankings on console but they'll be sepparate.

Actually cross-platform functionalities are very rare in the console landscape because of the manufacturers policies. You may have less a dozen games having cross-platform functionalities over more than 1500 games in two generations (PS3/X360 + PS4/XBO).

Based on the new videos i gotta say the mountains and vegetation look amazing in Lagoon. I really like the more colorful look.
Gameplay looks also pretty cool. The car seems to steer really well and fast also at high speeds. Kinda "easy" and arcade style, really like that. Drifts also possible :D
Looking forward to Lagoon :pop:

I love that jump distance is calculated and shown for jumps. Let's have competitions on who can jump the farthest!

ahah yeah! I"m in!

Also : I wish the helicopter dropping the car could be moving more. This would make it more realistic!
Also the helipcopters that are keeping the road-signs up. It would be so cool if you could see these road-signs zigzagging over the map ( just a little little bit ofc ). It would give the game a more "dynamic" feel.
Anyways, its just a small detail. ^^
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

+1 for road-signs zigzagging :thx:

Also cool would be if the Map author can let the Helicopter or Airship move around a given path.
