An idea some friends and I got some time ago:
Add a kind of "online editor" so you can edit toghter one map at the same time. Will save alot time for duomaps!
And please DON'T delete the ingame music, I really love it. And if somebody don't like it he can just turn it off! :roll:

Ingame music in Shooter games is not recommend...

It was possible and already done. TG-Yoshi developed it (or co-developed it, I don't really remember) and already had multiple successful tests running. I could never try it out myself but I saw a video clip of it; imagine the tool as a editor plugin + external software combo, which just places the blocks the distant player placed on your screen too. Sadly, after some updates, it required too much updating (eventually isn't even possible anymore) and was therefore dropped.

I totally agree, multiedit would be something incredible. I mean, games like Distance or else now come up with their own track editors. It is time to give trackmania another advantage over other arcade racing games. I can only fathom about how awesome the next update will be, but I hope this gets either implemented soon or picked up by some really motivated guys in our community!

Well, It's just based on your ladderpoints system (10000 lps Echolon 1 (Bronze 1(?)), 20000 lps Echolon 2 [...]). It might be right, that very few players can get Echolon 9 (Gold 3 (?)) or even Echolon 10 (?) in SMS:Elite, but I think the way to get it is way to fast. I played for a week some rounds elite and saw some "smurf accounts" which have already 60k+ with only < 100 wins. Maybe you should reduce the total LPs of all Elite players to 30% and upgrade your echolons "7 - 8" Platin and 9 "Pro" and if possible, 10 as "Champ" ((or Extend the ladder to 150k Lps) or the calculations of LPs shut be stronger).

If you really compare SMS:Elite with LoL.
In LoL we have 5 divisions of gold, and gold is more like "step 3 of 6+"
in SM/general we have 3 divisions of gold, and gold is more like "step 3 of 3" and the steps inside from echolon 7 to echolon 9 are not really represent - at least for Trackmania^^.

The ranking could absolutely use some work and I was hoping that you would already know that. It feels like we need to convince you that its not that good. This only means that there will be 0 changes to this in the next update. :(

I can become rank#1 in 3days with a smurf-account. The amounts of LP you can win are out of proportion. ( 2 attacks vs good players is easily +10 000 LP and more )

Your ranking looks good on paper, but ingame your system is translated to :
" If you play a lot, your rank will be#1 aka you have no life."

Which results in people not caring about the ladder. In fact, this is the only game I ever played where if somebody is #1 he gets laughed at because he has no-life. #1 = no respect at all.
Its no achievement, its not rewarding. You are a joke if you're #1. A joke with no-life.


Other things:
- Ranking up should go slower ( its also good to stop smurfs )
- You cant rank in other modes ( and you can blame the community for not opening servers ) but I blame NADEO
I havent received any LP in Storm/Joust/Siege for 2years. This makes me angry and I'm even less motivated to play these awesome modes.
- Rushers get more LP
- Getting 0-15 instead of 1-5 gives you less LP. That sounds unfair to me.
1 attack = +- 4or5 rockets

- No leaderboards
- No player-comparison
- No team-leaderboard/ladder
- LP is not linked directly to in-game actions ( +3 = 30LP // 100m laser = +50LP )
Etc :)


So, what's next? I honestly can tell you , with GOOD intentions, that the current ladder is not working and is not making the community happy.

We need "MOTIVATION" to play. Please understand :)

one thing I haven't seen mentioned is that in LoL you have placement games before going ranked, which determine your starting position (can be from bronze to gold I think, not sure). in Nadeo games you're for some reason assumed to start as the "noob" in the lowest tier, which doesn't make sense really. so no cerovan, your ranking system isn't anywhere close to the LoL one.

That basically means the "skill ranking" is working as intended, because when you win against players with much more LP the system wants to raise you to this level fast -> No grind ladder. LoL comparison: Diamond accounts with < 100 wins.

These 2 quotes kinda are a opposition. No life = 3 days hmmm :? 8-)

The ranking system would be more "visible" with more players. Now the "skill ladder" basically starts at 90k+.
I would never we able to get 90k+ in Elite because i am simple too bad. :D

Edit: if you want slower LP gain you basically want a ladder that is less skill based and more grind.
Example: Lets say a complete new TM (Stadium) player, how much time would he need to get 90k LP? And how much time would a pro need?
