THe url problem was on a tm server - in script (platform) mode
strange thing is on same client without disconnection it didnt work and a bit later it worked again , and then again it didnt .... (all the urls where in chat, on mouse over the url was shown in the lower right corner as usual)
Server was neiter restarted nor the client was , we tested it with the same url for some time.

strange enough now it seems to work again -.-

That makes me wonder if your server controller is leaving some overlapping manialink on top of the area where you would click the link.

Have you ever seen where you bring up the settings dialog by hovering the tool bar at the top and clicking the gear, but then having an end round or end match come up, and the UI gets "stuck" because of the different layers of ManiaLink that are on the screen at the same time, each looking for user input?

I wonder if you were to disable your server controller for a session and try links out at random points throughout the session if the links would always work fine?

We will test our servers (both TM and SM) next time we're on and see how we fare with this issue as well.

dunno what it was maybe because i got ingame mail or so , couldnt get the error again , so please forget about the $l issue.

ForceSpectatorTarget() is also not always working, and it was already the case on Canyon for monthes (essentially the target was forgotten next round or map). The camera type have problems both on TM2 and SM.

edit: it is ForceSpectatorTarget which was already broken in TM2 (in case you read my answer before i edited it).

I still get every ~2 days this error and then the server crashes.

My platform server seems to crash everynow and then as well, even when I don't have any server controller running on it. I've given up checking it regularly coz no one plays on it anyway now.

My TM2 canyon servers seem to be running fine though, no crashes.
