Ah, it is new game? Really? I don't see any visual differences.

On the 'very nice' preset for both games I'd say the new one looks loads better! And runs smoother on my system.

TimeAttack is far too much !
Personally, i would have not given TimeAttack for free but exactly the opposite : Cup and Team (and/or eventually Laps and Rounds) for free to encourage competitions and LANs to include the game, but also give an opportunity for all to test the game ; and the premium (including TA) at a lower price (maybe 5€ ?), expecting that the far bigger number of TA players will compensate a more attractive price.

If you like a game, buy it to support the developers!
Nadeo does a really good job with their games.
Nadeo WORKS on this games and please tell me not you would work without getting paid.

btw. I bought Trackmania Nations ESCW for i think 10€ years ago.. so it wasn´t free.
Maybe you are to young to understand this, but coding is hard work, with a lot of hours/weeks/months/years you have to spend on developing..

So grab this 9€ or stop playing please

I wanted to add that 9€ is a cheap price for a great game like this.

In my opinion, 9€ to be able to create custom blocks, custom textures, custom cars, custom maps, custom gamemodes (and I miss a lot of other features), is really cheap.

Just compare with call of duty it's 60$ (I don't know for euros) and the only thing that you can do, is to play online or offline. You can't customize anything. If you mod the game, they ban you.

That's why I love maniaplanet's game from Nadeo.
You can do whatever you want and you are not limited to single and multiplayer.

Played it last night and thought it looked very nice, and runs much better than my TMUF version of Stadium. Good job NADEO, so managed to sneak up on us with this one

I think having it cheap but not free is good too, it was £7.10 - can't get much more fun for that money!

Trackmania 2 Stadium IS new...

Do you really think so? Do you? It is exactly the same old stadium (even with old physic bugs). I don't care if they did everything from scratch (which I doubt). All that matter is final result, and the result is some old environment with changed sound engine and things made shining like crazy.
And please, tell me more how stadium2 is free to play. Things are blocked, you have big button "BUY STADIUM" and every time you close the game, steam store page is waiting for you. Not annoying at all.

Someone asked if someone is doing some work for free. I have an answer: Valve does. All their DLC are free. Always were and I bet always will be. You want any specific example? Here you have one: Portal 2. The funny thing is, it's one of the best games and yet it costs only 16€. Hell, Valve didn't decided to cut the game into chapters for 20€ each (so the actual price of the game is not multiplied by number of parts). They did opposite - they even do all future DLCs for free. And everyone know it. Somehow Valve is doing good, isn't it?

Another thing, not really that funny, is that you can expect incoming insult here for honest opinion, for telling the truth (without any insult). Easy to find even in this very a topic.

If the game is that complete (you can reach top of the ladder) there's no reason left to buy the full version.

gfx is better actually. also, there are loads of MP functions - scripts, objects, titles... you can't expect for them to be used instantly. once people will get how to use them and create some cool stuff, difference between old and new stadiums will increase.

MP functions? Like, for example, FxCameraMap which works bad from the beginning, reported few times? Function that can't work online because doesn't support locators? For me the main MT things are images and camera, sometimes sound or fx colours. And rest? I used maniascript once to display button on screen and when I put this map on server, xaseco (or other script, i don't remember now) crash because of some conflict.

You know that we (sceptics, who are not worshipers) want the same? To change your mind when we spoke using arguments? But no - you can see only your version of truth.

And about "gfx is better" - I unpack that new stadium zip and compare files. There are few high resolution files like new grass or new dirt, but rest...?
