So, you want to finish it but not release it?
Are you leaving the community because of some of the negative feedback?

I like u ;)
I just dont like ur unfinished projects and I'd rather see 3 epic TP's than 9 average TP's.
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

Well like Novationx said, youre not a bad guy.
But i think a lot of people are giving you advices and they all see youre mostly not doing anything with these advices.
So they are not happy with your actions. That is really something else then that people do not like you.
I hope you will stick around this community and try to listen more to people who mostly have a lot more experience.
They just want to help you.

Greetz,
Hey,

thanks for all the advices in the last days - weeks - months... I did read all advices, but it was hard to answer and do the most. Anyway (i don't leave the community) in the future i will be a bit more silent here. As I said, with the update for (example) Lake all your advices will be improved! ;) :thx:

Often people can say harsh things especially when they are not face to face with you. For some people (myself included) it's hard not to take it personally. A while back I created a pack of about 200 cars from around the world for myself but decided to offer them to the community for free. My biggest mistake was to mention my intention before it was finished. When I did get them done and found a way to share them, most people had nice things to say but a few had negative comments about them and I thought 'I made these for me and offered them for free, why would anyone complain?' But alas, people do.
I think you should be proud of yourself for taking on such a big idea. I'm guessing you are finding it's a bigger challenge than you originally thought, but it's still a good idea. That's why people are interested and reading about it here and in fact why they are being critical. A new environment is a huge thing that takes a lot of time to complete.
Try and take the things people are saying that you find useful and use them to better your work, and the things you find offensive or hurtful, take from those the aspects that can better you and shrug off the rest.
A new environment consists of new backgrounds, physics, car, themes and blocks.
Maybe rather than an entire new environment, you guys could shift what you're working on into a good mod Title Pack and still end up with something cool to offer the community.

This describes pretty well what usually happens

Especially young people are very proud of anything they do the first time, they want to share with the whole world, and to be admired by the whole world, regardless if some don't like it.
Then they get upset very easily if this is the case.

And the reason for dislike can be very little, e.g. just a wrong color, or can have psychololgic reason, like it is something the other person also had in mind alreday, but was not able to do herself.

The best advice is to continue working on it, but not to show every little crappy step to the public.
And if something almost useable is there, test it as good as you can before, eventually with a closed group.
You cannot test everything, that's sure. At least try to fix the things which are very annoying.
Especially with a complete environment, it is certainly not enough to provide a few textures like a mod, you need also lots of models for items. So the work is a huge lot more, and also the expectations are much more.
