My first Mod for TM2 Canyon

Re: My first Mod for TM2 Canyon
Isn't it possible to make 2 versions of the mod?CoastKid wrote:Certainly i have no plans to change GP textures, maybe i will change some concrete textures to more mossy version, but not a big.Toninus wrote:Did you plan changes for GP and Arena blocks? Maybe something with wood...
The main limitation it is a size of textures, NADEO use very hi-res textures, size of some of them reach near 21 Mb (dds!), that is why i'm trying to change only important (for current mod style) textures. Otherwise environment mod size will be too big, my mod size is already 106 Mb, and seems like it is not the end yet.
- one "light" for peer-to-peer download.
- one complete one, bigger, available only via a direct download link. (with GP blocks!)
Re: My first Mod for TM2 Canyon
This may be possible, but i am still not sure about that, i want to use Maniaplanet Pack for distribution,
but there is a question, how exactly mod will be recognized by map that using it ?
If there is only one version of mod can be attached to the map, then i need to be sure about compact size.
But anyway, what kind of changes you want for GP blocks?

ZOMG! This is amazing!
Do want!
Do want!
Re: My first Mod for TM2 Canyon
I think grass should be changed to sand, the green doesn't really fit with the colours of your mod. And maybe changes for the red parts, stands, roofs...CoastKid wrote:But anyway, what kind of changes you want for GP blocks?
And I was wondering: is there a way to change the colours of the lights? For example to get white ones on arena blocks, yellow ones on GP and red on pipelines...

Marvelous, one of the best mods I ever seen in the history of TM,
this is worth sharing indeed. Too bad that I cannot taste it.
Btw, do I know you from TMUF

Re: My first Mod for TM2 Canyon
Really great job so far! The screens look amazing and I can tell this is a pretty ambitious mod. I really hope you can get a link up for people to try (even work in progress).
Anyway, I think the GP blocks look good (in the one screen) within the mod, but with no screens of the arena I cannot say.
Keep up the good work!

What about a snow or moon mod?
When you got time...

Re: My first Mod for TM2 Canyon
Very very very nice! Also, regarding the different canyon walls, how about making things like rock temples and Mt. Rushmore and that sort of stuff?CoastKid wrote:Thank to all of you for support and ideas!![]()
About tire tracks, unfortunately tire track texture can't be modified with environment modification (as i know, it can be modified with car mod (maybe)).
Yesterday i've found very helpful info about modification of tm2 here:

Big Thanks to HawkGer!![]()

Yes ,you right about the GP grass, i will change it, lucky that grass texture are stand-alone and not too big.Toninus wrote:I think grass should be changed to sand, the green doesn't really fit with the colours of your mod. And maybe changes for the red parts, stands, roofs...

Other parts need more accurate editing because of many texture spreading on many blocks.
And also unfortunately there is no way to change lights colors (or i just didn't find how to change it).
Thanks a Lot for Marvelous, but in my opinion the really marvelous mods will appear when NADEO let us to make custom blocks, lights and so on, as they promised at the announcement of TM2. Ofc, i am understand that from other side, custom geometry can set a huge mess on the maps, but anyway this can be fixed by quality control system or certification system to guaranty suitability and quality of models , textures, sounds.elitechris wrote:Marvelous, one of the best mods I ever seen in the history of TM,this is worth sharing indeed.
