o.O y are you bringing up crap about poxbox for? this forum/game has nothing to do with them pos box's holding us pc gamers back.. instead of embracing new hardware and tech the DEVELOPERS decide to fuking go backwards and you are one of them idiots supporting it...

So, apparently you just cherry-picked that phrase out of my post and didn't read the whole thing. I support Halo on the PC, because it's a good shooter with a nice story. That's it. I can't even get Halo 3 for PC because it's so damned inefficient my PC won't run it. My post was discussing the insanity of developers charging 80 bucks for a game (L.A. Noire) that will probably hold players for one run-through, if that, while TM2 will keep players coming back time and time again, and it's around 30 bucks.

omg are you that stupid?

bungie stoped "pc" development YEARS ago.. they stoped after halo 2 the FAIL . halo 3 for pc o.O wdf u been smoking...

console retards pay up two 108 dollars each game in Australia .. Y do developers charge that much BECAUSE they can and console jocks pay that much...

tm2 will hold its value becasue the developers havent "YET" sold out to the console retards./../ but then again this game only uses dx9 .. base crap on any console and highest any console can do ... and so i can see ubi looking @ poxbox and peace of shit 3 soon for more $$$ ... as this engine will run fine on them dx 9 ftw :(

You're certainly insulting--I think you need to sleep, and then re-think that last post. Bungie hasn't stopped PC development, not from anything I've heard. Maybe they're going to, it would make sense given that everyone else has, but I have not yet heard any official word. And given that the xBox was their "baby" with the Halo series, so to speak, it's not exactly a terrible decision.

So you've beat the solo campaign then and got all the author medals?
I think that'll take me about 3 years to do. Well, the author medals will.

And just 'cause you play Canyon doesn't mean you can't enjoy other games, including the old TMs. :) They're "Forever" anyway.

But, to answer the topics question, since I never have yet... and I've posted in the topic a few times...

Yes, the game will definitely hold players for 9 months. Heck, it'll hold a lot of players for several years. And yet, new environments will be out before that. Look at all the people who still play TMO and focused on only desert, or TMN/TMNF players who have played a single environment for years. Don't give me that crap about stadium that it's only because it's special. It's still a single environment. Or even within TMUF, people focus on a single environment, like Coast... or Island. Probably over half the TMUF community specializes in one of those two environments.

Canyon feels like a "greatest hits" environment to me. I get so many different feelings when driving on the different road surfaces; GP, Platform, Roads, Canyon Roads, Offroad. The physics are built for maximum fun. And there's so much variety of tracks already... and some really amazing and fun hunters out there.

The game will be as entertaining and fun as the community makes it. If you leave, you're just contributing to it going the wrong direction. Stay and be part of the reason to stay.

I had left the TMUF community after 3 years for personal reasons and wanting to focus my time elsewhere. The game never got boring, but I just needed to reclaim some time... and TM was taking a lot of it.

But I've found I can still fit some TM into my life. It's so much a part of who I am.

So I won't be as active as I was in TMUF, 'cause priorities in life won't allow it. But I'm sure I'll play it regularly and I'll enjoy it for a long time, certainly more than 9 months.

The solo Part was since the first TM Release only an extra gift for me to learn driving the Cars.

I have more fun to create Tracks, Skins and other Stuff. But for Tracks i missed some blocks like Y and X blocks, more deco stuff, more sign blocks (above all small one) and others. For me the biggest feature as TM² w announced, was the custom blocks, the biggest boost feature for TM and now it comes later... :| So i hoped when there are no custom blocks, than many good blocks from nadeo, so we never missed custom blocks that much, but i think Nadeo failed here.
