Why am I still playing TrackMania then?
because you still haven't got gold or author time on all 298,202 tracks on tmnforever, all 169,139 on united forever and all 4913 tracks on mania exchange??

I think the single player needed because there is always a risk that the Internet goes down (especially here in Brazil, has bad service and very expensive). It was 5 days without internet, playing TrackMania unable to be connected.
The single player is also necessary because it is a time to help test the maps created and validated. It also helps those who are not friends with online server administrators.
Now with the slow internet, I took a long time trying to post this, since the translator took a long time to show the result, not have the patience to see if everything was ok.

Here's an idea. Might have been posted already, though.
A hybrid TM2/SM map where the racing track is built into the FPS map and vice versa. Track can go around the FPS area or through/over/under it and so on.
Trackmaniacs are racing and shootmaniacs are playing FPS; all that is happening simultaneously in the same hybrid map. Now, that would be entertainment
