wiidesire-2 wrote:I can handle this ofcourse ( I have 70k points, I mean come on ;) ), but what about beginners, which just want to have some fun with tm2?
Do we really care about beginners? Really? Let 'em learn the game like everyone else. There's nothing more difficult about Canyon than learning to noslide Coast or drift in Stadium.
wiidesire-2 wrote:its not like in tmnf, where you start the game and drive, its much harder in tm2 canyon for beginners
You can start either game and drive. But it's going to take you a lot of practice to get good at either game. Differences in difficulty are going to be subjective and vary from person to person. You'll never have a definitive answer about which is harder. They each have their challenges and different learning curves.
wiidesire-2 wrote:there is a high chance, that most (other beginners) will say it sucks and stop playing
If this is true, I really don't see them being happy with many games. It's the challenge and learning curve of games that is the partial success to their longevity.
wiidesire-2 wrote:to the point with the online servers, of course there are some "skill" servers.
but I meant, 12 players always inside, 60-90k, rounds
is there any server? when I was last time online, there wasn't even one
As of this very moment, there are two 60k-90k servers that are full.

And you can see further down the list a 3rd one with some people in it as well.
wiidesire-2 wrote:to your point about the "what you do with the blocks". well canyon has about 150 blocks and I have not driven many nice maps. but this might be a point because there are only a few map creators, because there are not many players
Over 2100 people have posted at least one or more tracks on MX. I wouldn't say that is "not many players". If you want to play some really good tracks, you only need to look at some of the top authors like smok3y or sqweegel. The tracks server owners pick for online play don't always represent the level of innovation among track builders. That's always been the case.
wiidesire-2 wrote:I really hope Canyon will be the only drift-only environment in tm2
Me too, but not because I dislike it. I just want some more variety.
wiidesire-2 wrote:I can't play offical records, because of the time limiter
Solution: forget the solo ladder and work on the mx ladder.
wiidesire-2 wrote:I can't play online because there is not an always full 60-90 server with "skill" maps
Solution: stop caring about LP so much. Play for the pure fun of driving tracks and improving your PB.
wiidesire-2 wrote:by the way eyebo, because you seem to be informed, when will it come out?
I wish I was informed about that. All I know is what Cerovan has said here on the forums. Cerovan indicated in this post that SM Storm would be out sometime in the first semester of this year. That means the first 6 months, right?

And later in this post he said Valley would probably be out in the 2nd semester of this year. So I guess that's the 2nd half of the year?

Anyway, looks like we'll be waiting a while yet. But then I've been waiting for Valley since 2009, a few more months isn't going to kill me.
wiidesire-2 wrote:thanks for this nice answers in good english (unfortenately my english isn't that good, because I'm still 14 and from Germany, so I have still much to learn in english :) )
Your English is perfectly understandable. I'm amazed at how bilingual (and even multilingual) many players in the community are. It's awesome.
MouldyK wrote:I aint got Gold on all the Solo tracks. Do you?
I got training Gold on all Nadeo tracks (except E03) the night the campaign came out. It's those pesky author medals that will haunt me for a long time.

Omnixor wrote:everything gold until C13, then drifting through narrow roads becomes pain in the ass -.- and I see no reason to get mad, I just go to TMNF/TMUF ;P why not online? because there are either fullspeed noslide tracks, which I dislike, or simple drifters, which, as I already said, are boring for me. :/ waiting for Valley, I think a slow nodrift envi will be more fun for me :P
OMG! I wish I could hug you! C13 took me an hour to do until it was like 3am and I did it and was so happy!

I actually agree with you there with that track as it was a pain.

We need one which is less drifty of course, though I would not mind Valley being a Rally cars, but that might be too similar to Canyon.

The third one should be like Stadium or Island. Or maybe one which is like Wipeout, super fast like but not much drifting. :D

Also, conrgratz, Eyebo! Someday I will get round to them, just liek I will get round to more of TMUF's ones.

Think I might need a break for a bit, but go full-force at the weekend on TM2's D courses.

Oh, I know. I mean that I feel your pain, mate. :thx:

You should be able to do it fine if you just concentrating on sticking to the road and using light turns, nothing heavy or the car will just lol at you into the pipe as it did for me...many...many...times.

I didn't find Gold to be that hard on most of the maps. Sometimes less is more. Just focus on getting clean, not necessarily really fast. Gold will come.

I do. I race silver. then I just race my ghost to get cleaner and better. Tends to all work out because my greatest enemy is me right? :roflol:

You could always download the replays of the top players in the world and see what parts they're getting way ahead of you on... so you know specifically where you need to focus on improving.

I've learned a lot more from racing against other people's replays (and watching them) than racing against my own.

Yeah, but I struggle when I see others do it, you know, added tension sort of thing.

I have a pretty good eye on how to improve myself on the track, such as where I stop holding the gas when I don't need to and where I can start a corner from so I con't need to apply the break or when and where I need to apply the break for the best race line.

Sometimes it is just overcoming the fear factor and just going for the track even if you fear it might led to a restart if you scuff it.

Though I adit I finally did D01 by looking at how the Gold car did the loop.

But it's nice to hear how each person approaches the tracks differently in the game. Me relying on my previous attempts, you relying on how other perform it.

You know what's fun?
Im reading a lot of complaints by some users that at the launch of the game, were defending it as hell.
Now, they realised that this game is not made to be played for years (like tmf was ) and it gets boring quite fast.

As i already said, some of you, probably are just forcing themselves to like this game, because they liked the previous one.

The only person that seems to be regular, and also the most "intelligent", still seems eyebo :pop:

Nice to come back sometimes reading posts and news :)
