Be aware that the whole team listens to/reads what the players want.
All requests cannot be fulfilled, some others take some time. It's not helping to constantly whine about stuff being not done.

@ TM² SDK : isn't the idea pretty much similar to what players will be able to do with the MP 2.0 update ?

Chill off a bit.

Some months ago Cerovan said first semester of 2012 would see the release (or at least beta) of SM Storm and the second semester would see the release of TM2 Valley.

That wasn't in any kind of official press release, but just a tentative date.

I think it's likely to happen though since they have also said TM2 Valley production is going on concurrently with SM Storm.

*takes a deep breath* :-? I admit I've been a little defensive lately. For that I apologize. I think, though, eyebo's the only one that really understands where I'm coming from, so I'm going to try to explain my position to those who don't agree with me. What really irks me about those who have written Canyon off as crap are seeing Canyon for what it is now, not for what Maniaplanet will be in the future. I admit I -may- be a little biased when it comes to this, as I am a big Nadeo fan. However, I have seen the awesomeness (as all of you have) that is the previous TM games, so I have faith that Maniaplanet, when finished, will be just as big a success and draw even more people into it. It's just slower to get started. Who knows why that is? It could be that they've laid off employees. It could be the ambitious nature of their project and forcing them to work on several things at once. I don't know what it is, but I highly doubt it's developer laziness and overall simply ignoring the community. Because that -would- be inexcusable. If they truly are ignoring what we want from this game, I would be as pissed as you. Because yes, there are things in Canyon that need to be fixed. The shadow-bug, which is still in, is one of them. The overall inefficiency of the graphics engine, and a possible memory leak, are very serious issues. The difference between our two sides, is that while you've seen Nadeo -not- answering your questions, and gotten rightfully frustrated, up 'til now, I've taken that as a sign that they're busy working, and just don't have the time to directly respond to all of them, and so we'll have to wait until the next update to see the results.

Trackmaniack, I for one agree with most of your comments and understand your point of view.
It amazes me all the fire that this subject has generated.
I think a lot of people forget or don't know that Nadeo is a very small team and is doing the work of teams that are 10-20 even 30 times larger. To me, that is amazing.

I disagree with your point of view. It may be the translation but it seem overly negative.

Yep, I just quoted myself.
They are also excited about what they are doing. You can see that when they talk about their ideas. They are doing work that hasn't been done before and coming up with new innovations that change the gaming industry.
By putting more power of creation into the hands of the user they are creating games that will have long lasting replay value. Yea, I think that is special, but that's just MY point of view.

That's not Nadeo's fault. That's Ubisoft being restrictive. It's been debated time and time again in this forum, and it's because Ubisoft doesn't know what they're doing.
