I'm set to be auto-notified when the thread updates, but I didn't get the auto-notification til the game was already over. :'( I guess my faith in the auto-notifier is gone.

Did you ever end up fixing the post notification Hylis? From what I read, perhaps you do need an updated version. ^^ Always keep ManiaPlanet up to date!

phpbb 3.09 has been released this week, with a lot of fixes.
In 3.08 it is a per forum setting, go into the acp - forums tab.
Then go as deep as possible, to the level of the subforum where you want to disable "new reply check", and edit the setting. It is in the second paragraph.
