You shouldn't even worry about getting into the beta or not. Leave it up to chance. The game will come out eventually worldwide.

Some important guys get in the beta at first. They're probably going to invite some of their mates and they'll maybe get the chance to invite everyone else

The problem is: If the people just invite their friends and don't even think of giving someone totally unknown a chance to be a beta tester, how would those people who can't participate feel? I'm pretty sure they won't be happy with it... or do you think they'll just sit there and act like there was no beta at all?
If I was the Nadeo guy who gives out beta keys, I'd give everyone a chance (not equal chances though, because that would be unfair to the older and more important players!) and also choose people who nobody knows. If they aren't good enough to be a beta tester, you can still remove their rights to be one and give the rights to another person instead.

I know, but it would be interesting to have a test in which you don't always invite only important people. Nadeo would know if they can do that again in the next beta or not. And it would just be more fair to people who aren't that important in TM.

I think, that a beta-test is for testing the game by a higher amount of people. So in the beginning, Nadeo will ask known people, like the creator of TMX to test their game, because they are sure, that they will help to make the game better.
How useful would it be, if half of the betatester just want to play. Most people dont understand, that to be a beta tester is
work.
You have to test the game, write down bugs, you have to send these bugs to Nadeo to make it possible to fix these bugs, because many of them are not easy to find, so you have to try to do unusual things to see, if really everything works fine.
Whoever just wants to
play the beta, please leave your beta place to people, who actually would work to make the game a better one
I hope, that, if Nadeo starts to give out more Beta-Keys, they combine it with an application, so they can see, who will help them and who just wants to play

Well said steelworks. This is the exact impression I'm getting from the majority of users here.

That's exactly what I would do when I got a beta place. I wouldn't just play the beta, I'd really encourage for making the game better, finding bugs and problems, and testing out every feature the game has, and in that way I'd also thank Nadeo for letting me be one of the beta testers

And I'm not lying or something, I'm serious. I'm not the guy who just plays a beta and doesn't help improving it.
I also like the idea with the application BTW
@DonTubo: It's not swm, it's smw - don't confuse those two abbreviations

And I'm really not joking - I'm not the person who just thinks he's cool because he's a beta tester and then doesn't use his big chance to be an important person while the beta is running...

I completly support that sentence.
Maybe you won't swm, but there's a huge amount of guys who really just want to play.
That's what i would do if I was nadeo. I'd check at first who's really working for the com. and who already WAS working for the com. Then i'd decide who will get a key and who won't.

I'm sure that everyone wants to play the beta, but that shouldn't be the most important reason. If you show that you really want to help Nadeo and if you test every feature and whatever, you show that you are interested in a better TrackMania and don't just want to play it. I think only then you're the right beta tester.

Everyone who is soo eager to play, buy the game when it comes out and stop begging for beta keys.

Another sentence well put. Agreed here.
