Is it just me, or does that shot look like it is a multiple-path track? It looks like cars coming in from a curve, but in the background (top-right) it looks like another car coming in straight from another path; and what we're seeing is a merge point?

Re: Screenshot/Video/Article Collection
I have a question to anyone that has played the game:
When you stood in front of the TV screen and played TM2, did the game look like what we see in these screenshots? Or was it not as detailed? Because I am just sitting here REFUSING to believe Trackmania 2 will look like those screenshots posted above when you're actually *PLAYING* it in-game.
So again to anyone that's played or seen the game running in front of them, please tell us how close to these screenshots the game looked in your eyes. I really don't believe we are going to see this level of detail when I enter a track and play it.

Take a look at the video's from TM2 (not the trailers, but ingame footage from E3, Dreamhack). I think that it will answer your question

I did take a look at them. They don't look nearly as detailed or sharp as the screenshots. But videos can REALLY hurt a game's image quality, that's why I'm asking this to people who was there and played it.mistertl wrote:Take a look at the video's from TM2 (not the trailers, but ingame footage from E3, Dreamhack). It does not look as good as the screenshots.
In motion it actually looks even better

Re: Screenshot/Video/Article Collection
Did TMNF -ever- look as good as the fully HQ, rendered screenshots that are released? No, because those screenshots have been taken as part of an HQ, rendered video. That's not to say, however, that the game can get damn close with all the graphics cranked up to 11. I think it'll be the same thing here--and in this case I suspect the main difference will be in two things--quality of motion-blur and quality of lightmaps. Both of which will be slightly reduced during actual gameplay, but if you wish to make HD screenies, then you can. And further, since TM2 is a whole level up from TMF, even the lower level of graphics is going to look better.isamu wrote:I have a question to anyone that has played the game:

In terms of actual examples, the game is probably going to look like the pictures we see that don't have any motion blur added to them...at least in terms of detail.
