But you forgot the intention of the beta. Nadeo wants to find bugs and imrpove the game. Make it running more fluent. And Nadeo knows, how many players they need and what players they need for that. If no new players are necessary Nadeo won't give them a key.
So the beta is not for everyone and especially not for having fun ;)

Doesn't have to be true. Nadeo can even choose beta testers from TMO to be a beta tester in SM or something if they know they definitely won't do anything bad.
And you also don't have to be a gaming expert to test all features of TM² and find bugs - even someone who never played any video game before could do that job if he learns fast and likes to try every single thing which is possible out - like I do ;)

How can an "unexpert" player know if something is a bug?
I mean: if you're playing, something happen, but you don't know that's a bug, so you think that's normal.
You got what i mean?
Well, if I found out something strange while playing the game, I could just ask Nadeo if that's normal or not, right? And as Nadeo obviously plans to make TM² as realistic as possible (see the puzzles), I'm pretty sure I'd know what's correct and what isn't.

You don't know what I'm trying to say. I didn't say everyone should be a beta tester and that new players are necessary for a beta test. And I also didn't say a beta test is for fun. I just don't want only well-known and important people to be present in the TM² beta (and the SM and QM beta as well). I want other people to have a chance too. They should get a chance to show Nadeo they're trustable too. Not everyone would just do nothing. A little minority of them would work as hard as the experienced players would do. And I'm talking of that little minority. This is the group of people who should get a chance to be present in the beta test as well. Not only the old and experienced ones.

Please stop this needless discussion.
You talk about "fair" to give keys, "discriminating" people that won't get one etc.
The goal of a beta is to improve the game before the release, take out the bugs that haven't been found before, see what happens when more people use online services at the same time etc.
The goal of a beta is not "satisfy people", "reward people" etc.

Please get back on topic, this is the news topic.

so in my opinion its better to have a closed beta than an open beta, because that would be terrifiting.

I was 7th player of the world in tmuf when I stopped, I really love trackmania! Many do love trackmania, but thats not the thing about the beta to have fun!

If I wont be an beta tester , its ok, but if I would, I would not drive for fun, because I want to make the game better and I would report all bugs and so on, cause I know later I will have much more fun with a good game than with a buggy game.

But if 2 million people ( ok thats just a joke) are beta testers then you dont know which bug reports are false and you dont know if you can really trust them.

100 beta testers, which report every bug are better than 2 million, because nadeo can look closer at all reports and can improve the game much better.

so nadeo decides, who get a key and I hope they make a good decision ;)

Best regards,

Nope. I said that it would be discrimination if they didn't have any chance to have one. Not if they didn't get a key.
The goal of a beta is to improve the game before the release, take out the bugs that haven't been found before, see what happens when more people use online services at the same time etc.

I didn't ever disagree with this. I just said I want other people to be able to help improving the game too.
Please get back on topic, this is the news topic.
Compromise: We stop talking here and instead discuss the beta key system in a new topic. Okay? ;)

Do you really think I'd just play and do nothing if I got a beta key? I'm not one of those persons, really... ;)

Did I ever say I want 2 million beta testers? I know there may not be too many of them, if I was someone from the Nadeo team, I'd also only hire about 100 beta testers ;)

did I talked to you? I just said my opinion and it was not connected to your comments

but now to you

this player who want to get a ,,chance´´ can wait till release, nadeo will decide ( we can discuss it now , but nadeo will decide it anyway)

I dont want to get a ,,chance´´, if I will get a key then its cool, cause I want to help nadeo but if I dont, then I will have to wait till release :)

If you want to continue discussion of a beta, and how keys should be distributed, and what beta testing should be, then it would be good to create a different thread.
Fixed your post to make it a little more helpful, and a little less "shut up". ;)
