I hope Nadeo will NOT do that... I don't think people are willing to spend like
280 BUGS for a game

You're kidding, right? Where have -you- been?

BTW, don't post in caps, it sounds like you're screaming. Anyway, games like Need for Speed Shift, Gran Turismo, and other "big name" racing games sell for $50 or $60 bucks for one environment...relatively speaking, $30 is chimp change.

Back when TM2 was first announced and Maniaplanet first built, it was being suggested that it -would- cost around $49.99 (American) to purchase this game. That's the average cost of a new game these days...period. Now, Nadeo is probably going to sell cheaper, from what I hear, and that's AMAZING news!

Just don't lay your hat on being able to buy this game right outta the chute for $9.99

1. i dont buy anything online
2. i have a bad connection and i dont want to spend days for downloading the game
if it will be only downloadable - no tm2 for me guys
Sorry for doublepost, but I bet you can DL a copy of the game and then only your license key will be what costs money. So, conceivably, you could have a friend with a fast connection download it for you and then input -your- license key upon the offline install...

If I'd talked to you, I would have shouted, so the caps expressed right what I wanted to

No, in this case it's simple about principles. I don't buy games, if they aren't boxed. That's it.

Well, we'll keep you informed on how much fun we have playing TM² then
For those who did not get it, this was a joke, no need for angry replies....

I'm more worried about the publisher. Ubisoft and I have a kind of love-hate relationship. They make good games, but they are notorious for their business decisions that are made for the sole purpose of brutally hurting the end-user and absolutely no one else. My only real crime for being subjected to these business practices being that I was foolish enough to buy an Ubisoft game in the first place. Here are just a few of the very common things they have a tendency to do:
-Taking down online services on a whim (They tend to axe the servers of games that are more than a few years old)
-Imposing unneeded restrictions on clients (can only play online, can't add user-made modifications or additional content to the game, one of the biggest reasons people play Trackmania games)
-Adding layer after layer of highly unpopular DRM schemes to their games
-Uplay (their personal achievement/DLC system that they keep separate from everyone else's achievement/DLC system)
Uplay in particular worries me. I do not want to play a trackmania game where I have to buy new tracks/cars via a series of micropayments and achievement points. And I do NOT want a trackmania that makes it impossible to add user-made material to the game as well. I feel with Ubisoft acting as the new parent company/publisher, these are very serious questions that need to be addressed for consumers that can only be politely described as 'jaded' without tripping off a few word filters. Thank you for reading.

I prefer also a boxed version. Look at Sony (PlaystationNetwork): millions of user data were hacked right now. (name, adress, email, creditcard number, etc.). I always try to avoid to spread my personal data in the internet.

Indeed, that's the best way to prevent such stuff
