the concept is really a nice one. However, it just doesnt work out as it is by now. The fact that the match is aborted when one quits, is simply impossible. I've tried 4 games, the longest lasted 3 minuts... You really should fix this. The second point would be, if possible, to try to balance teams. I guess this is one of the reasons so many noobs ragequit after a round or two. Otherwise, the concept is really nice, just need a few adjustments...
Thanks for trying to improve the game,
appreciate,
grib.

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
I'll work on the matchmaking function tomorow. We were trying something which is not working at the moment.
We may restrain matchmaking to people that already have a rank or else.
On a longer view, we will add something to find players for already started match but it's not for now.
Thank you for your interests in the matchmaking, we are working hard on it right now.

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
I tested the joust matchmaking. It works fine in overall for what I tested, but once I had an error while connecting to the server to play against my opponent, it said "Too many players". It got me back to the main menu of the Joust title, and when I joined the matchmaking lobby back, I couldn't get ready for a game for quite a while (the light next to my nickname in the players list stayed on orange). I could get ready only a few minutes after.
Would be nice that the lobby tries to reconnect a player to their match.

It's really making progress
Was playing yesterday and today, didn't experience any lag in the lobby (not many players though) and it was really nice to play.
The actual Elite game really benefits from the new feature to get a substitute player. Still, there were many matches where one or multiple player left and the match got aborted. Now I just remembered that on other Elite servers, you can easily play a 2v2, 1v3, etc. The game just keeps going and for example if you're alone as defender, the attacker would only get one armor. If you would add this as well, there wouldn't be that many aborted matches.

@Timmeh7 It's actually already like this. From time to time, there may be a bug when you go back to warmup though, we need to figure that out.

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
Gave it a shot recently. The lobby itself was full of noobs who, by the looks of it, didn't bother pressing F6 and were just running around and shooting (a common tendency for noobs in Elite actually). After a while I was finally transferred to a match. The first player to leave was replaced quickly, but after a few rounds another one left and the match got aborted...

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
I tryed matchmaking today for the first time, its quite good
but i got in on a match 6 - 0 so i quit and find out i got a pinalty for 4 minutes
that was a great surprise.
But the best is to Create an own team i guess and have our own server
Is there matchmaking for battle and the other modes as well ?

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
matchmaking will be an open sourced tool for players to host what they want, on the mode they want and improve it if they want
you have to wait for the system to send you back to the lobby

Re: MatchMaking Lobbies feedbacks
The absolute top feature would be having a matchmaking based on teams. You create a team and find wars and praccy against teams with the same average rank. I hope this feature will arrive sooner or later
