Thanks for the transcript eyebo.
Since it doesn't seems to be any new information, I don't need to listen to the recording. ;)

Because MrBob is part of NADEO(Live), which is the developer of TrackMania/ShootMania.

You know yourself that this designation applies for all members of Nadeo, hence it is perhaps too general ;)

Let's see in detail which questions have been answered, thanks eyebo

If we would spend $100,000, which is quite a bit of moeny (they laugh), they would probably do 100 or 1000 competitions giving more prizes to more people. They believe there are many passionate competitors who enjoy ShootMania for the sake of competing. Probably giving a little prize to these is a good incentive for these players to compete and feel the pressure. Because they always want to win. It doesn't matter how much money it is.[...]
This is very sad. Not just the lack of funding, but also preferring small events (100k over at least 100 = 1k$ event - are you kidding?). No huge events with engaging casting and awesome audience, no hype, no cool, less great pro players, no additional opportunity for growing the playerbase.

In light of this TMarc, i want to apologize for jumping on you like that. I was led to Believe that this event was an interview with an actual developer, hence the title "Ask a Dev Event".

To Nadeo and Jokhr; again, i appreciate the effort and initiative, but it seems I as several others expected more out of this event. My suggestion for you moving forward, to avoid any misunderstandings or wrong expectations like this, would be that you do this event with Hylis himself, f.ex. once every 3 months, and that you set a fixed amount of questions to be answered, f.ex. 10, and that the questions are suggested and voted by the Community Before the event.

Never mind, I did not consider it as such "jumping", and I'm sorry if my short answer gave you this feeling.
To be honest, I also thought it would be a actual developpers event, and I was also wondering why the Q&A thread was not taken for this, where answers are missing as well.
I don't think a vote for the questions would always work, and I would prefer they answer all questions because there are many different interesting topics, but it could be worth a try.

As far as I remembered there was plan on funding at least 2 IPLs, one is already over, so where is the money for the second one? Why not make a really large offline tournament? this is what will make the game grow, not some 100$ online competitions t.t
