Trackmania 2:Canyon IS a complete game. Already. And how many racing games out there (Forza, GT, NASCAR, etc.), offer ONE environment. Period? For twice the price, and it's going up. Don't strawman just to be argumentative. Canyon's an awesome game, and it's -very- competitively priced. And further, it's not like they're releasing all these environments at once. They're going to be released as they finish them--which, originally according to Hylis (dunno if this has changed) it's going to be on a 6mo time schedule. Plenty of time for you to earn 20 more bucks. <_<
I don't get this argument. Gran Turismo 5 has over a thousand cars, 200 of them "Premium" with a ridiculous amount of detail, all with different handling characteristics. And 26 different locations. And it's a sim game with scanned tracks and ridiculously more advanced physics. TM2:Canyon is ONE car, ONE location, insanly simple physics in comparison and user generated tracks. I don't se how 7 cars and 7 locations could cost €140, that's all.
It's not about not having the money. It's about not wanting to pay €140 for something that should, in comparison to other games, be one normaly priced game.
Don't take me wrong. I love Trackmania and I hope TM2 is awesome. But I can't see how they could justify a price of €20 per environment. I mean, I can understand the price for the first environment, it's a new graphics and physics engine I pressume, that takes a lot of work, but the next enironments will use the same engine I pressume, so they should cost like a DLC car/track in Forza or something.
