TMT crashes to Windows randomly when I'm playing with my Steam Controller. And by randomly I mean at any time , while building a track (losing my track ofc), while driving, while loading and in the main menu. Even tho most of the crashes happen in the loading screen.
Also, I hope Nadeo/Ubisoft will make an official TMT controller config :s
I'm lucky because I also have a 360 controller that goes flawlessly but it's a lot older and some buttons sometime don't work.
Can we have a fix for the next patch please?

Re: Game crashes to desktop randomly with a Steam Controller
The Steam Controller isn't supported on Turbo (or Maniaplanet) at the moment. Can't tell if/when it'll be.Burno wrote:TMT crashes to Windows randomly when I'm playing with my Steam Controller.

Talking about my problem:
viewtopic.php?f=524&t=37660&p=265490#p265490
It could depend on my English but the problem is between the game and something about xbox one multiple pad drivers configuration. i have no freezes with only one controller connected: i can play solo campaign, multy, build tracks and everything works fine. The game literally freezes as soon as i turn on the second controller, at any part of the menu or game session (if i start trackmania turbo with 2 controllers on, it crashes instantly). I tried with 1, 2, 3 and 4 xbox one controllers, with usb connection and wireless connection, with 2 different adapters (one brand new) and nothing changes.
Fun fact: with 2 xbox 360 controllers i have no issues playing split screen, unfortunately i only have 2 pads...

Re: Uplay closes game frequently
Interesting reports from Steam Turbo crash discussion:
Two users tried the debug version and had no crash anymore with it, others still have crashes.
And some used a different controller ("third party", no Steam Controller) and have no issue.

Re: Uplay closes game frequently
I still have the question if you found sth in my CrashLog files which causes the problems?
My feeling is, that it is my graphic card + driver. Is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 simply too bad? I installed its new driver I think, version 8.970.100.1100. It is from 2013 and I saw somewhere that there won't be updates anymore. But what can I do then, if that would be the reason for TMT crashes? I can't buy a new PC, but I bought the game and can't use it properly. I really hope there is a solution to play it with my laptop. I'm playing TM for already over 11 years without breaks and it would be sad not to be able to continue with TMT.
Edit: And this error message in the screenshot on page 1 here, still comes after every crash. I wanna try to translate:
The display driver was re-established after an error.
The display driver "AMD driver" doesn't react anymore and was re-established.

Re: Uplay closes game frequently
A Steam user with AMD 4650 can't use the game properly.

Any idea, except that the video card does not support DirectX 11?

Re: Uplay closes game frequently
I don't use steam. I only bought it in a box and installed it. No steam, just UPlay.
Does this change sth?

Re: Uplay closes game frequently
Only little bit, that there is not a third application running in parallel.
But if you have similar crashlog like the user I have reposted, with DX11 related asserts etc., it looks like the 4650 is to weak for Turbo.
However, the support team has to tell what really goes wrong here.

Here are some background info's about this error message. And there is also a Microsoft Fix It for Windows Vista and 7.Marius89 wrote:Edit: And this error message in the screenshot on page 1 here, still comes after every crash. I wanna try to translate:

Hi,Marius89 wrote:I still have the question if you found sth in my CrashLog files which causes the problems?
Yes as you found your graphic driver stops to respond more than 2 seconds, then windows restart it.
TmTurbo did crash on the "device removed" recovery which will be fixed.
Unfortunately the cause of your"driver hung" is not obvious (your logs shows d3d errors that may be related) but we're working to fix it also.
(a correct "device removed" recovery avoid game crashing but is still limited: all gpu resources must be re-loaded, and the lag is around 2-5s)
Thanks
