You have maybe a crashlog in Documents/ManiaPlanet/Crashlog.
No crashlogs. CPU was not spiking. Game just freezes, no sound. Even alt-tabbing to another application doesn't unfreeze it (i have dual screens) - i switch to the other screen, bring up a task manager, and kill the process - that's the only way to get out.

The game basically just hangs and i can't find any reference anywhere on the 'net of how to address it.

I have a Gainward 8800gts 320mb
Never happens before.

what is causing this in my computer?
someone who knows?
might think that I drive by speed gear but I do not. ?

If you click cancel, the track will still be saved.
I had this track "Test4.1_final.gbx" After making some more changes I wanted to save the track again so i clicked "save". After clicking the save-button I changed my mind and clicked the cancel-button from the save menu. Then i clicked the save-button again to save it under a different name "Test4.2.gbx". I allready had a track with that name but it was fine to overwrite. After leaving the trackeditor to reload the track "Test4.1_final.gbx" it was nolonger on the disk and there were 2 identical tracks called "Test4.2.gbx". Both containing the same last saved version.

I think someone needs to take a closer look at the saving/canceling procedure.

I have an issue its about mt when i create a intro in outro and save as clip, the cam is changed and everything is not as i planned it to be when i import to intro. :( I get back on this when i figure out way.

they are not supposed to be able to import a clip with cars to another track so that it becomes exact as I did in the clip ?

check out this intro you will see how it should look like and then export the intro clip into a different track and see for your self. http://tm.mania-exchange.com/tracks/vie ... y-new-2012

all this becouse of that the cars dont work in intro editor :( and one more thing i did a cool intro with the timespeed features in slowmo but it dont work in intro, only the preview is showing the slowmo but when i play the track and watch the intro, it dont work.

There's really nothing an end-user can do when these bugs pop up.. It just so happens that something in your specific setup causes a problem in some bad code somewhere. But as common rational dictates, for every person that complains another hundred experience the same problem -- so quite simply, you have to wait until Nadeo fixes it (good luck -- I'd start harassing them personally).

FWIW, it seems the Nadeo TM guys are all on holiday, probably at least for another week or two.. and they don't really seem to bother looking at any of this stuff anyways. My advice.. in addition to posting here, also submit the same bug report via private message to these Nadeo employees: XBX, Gouxim, Legor, Farfa, and Hylis.

Don't be dissuaded by forum moderators, fanboys, or even the more active SM dev team.. They may care, but none of them can help us get a playable game.

Edit: Removed Alinoa from the list, as she's on leave... Congrats Alinoa!!

The SM dev team is the same team as those doing TM :P

But I wanted to report a bug with mediatracker.

If you're in the replay editor, and you add the timespeed clip to add some slow motion... it works when playing back the clip in the editor... but if you go to render the replay out to video it actually makes that part of the video faster instead of slower. For now I've had to resort to rendering slow motion clips with fraps, but I'd love it if this feature worked with video rendering properly in the future.

Yeah slowmotion in intro rocks. :D When it work.
The final result only work on preview not in game.

Only 300 bugs left.
Don´t bit off more than you can chew.

Hi Eyebo
At the risk of being ridiculed by all you MT gods out there I thought I'd throw in my thoughts I had when I read this.
Going back to my school days (O so long ago :( ) when doing classes in movie making we used 16mm film (no such thing as video then  ). One of the things i remeber is if you wanted to have a scene appear in slo mo you had to actually film at a higher speed, this way when it was shown at the normal speed of a projector it would appear to go slower, the reverse went for fast motion action, film at slower speed and it would appear to go faster than normal on screen.
Maybe rendering a slo mo clip in the editor mimics this as the clip would be played at a set speed.
Im a complete noob in the editor, especially the mt part so I have no idea if this would be the case but it might be worth looking at.

I know what you mean broric. For film or even video this makes total sense because the framerate you play something back at is constant. 30fps, 24fps, or whatever the format you're using dictates the playback rate to be. So for slow motion you record at higher framerates so that when it's played back it plays back those same frames over a greater length of time.

That makes sense for film or even video recording.

But in MediaTracker we simply have a time factor indicated with a number. "1" indicates realtime playback. "2" is two times faster than realtime playback. "0.5" would be halfspeed.

These numbers give the desired results when playing back the clip in the replay editor.

However, the timespeed clip doesn't work if you save the replay with the timespeed clip in it and then go and play it back by selecting the replay and choosing "view".

And of course I mentioned about the problems with doing a video.

But my original report was a little wrong. Adding slo-mo clips is not actually speeding up the video.

It looks like the game is simply ignoring the timespeed clip. It's not actually speeding it up when rendering. That was just an illusion that fooled me because of the quick camera movements.

Here's a video I've made to compare different settings using both the in-game renderer, as well as recording with fraps as I played the clip in-game in the replay editor (as that's the only place where timespeed clip seems to work)...

MediaTracker: TimeSpeed Clip Test

By the way, for timespeed to even work at all... you have to first delete the clip and track called "Time" which is saved with every replay.

To summarize my report: Timespeed clip should be recognized by the game for intros, outros, and especially for rendering videos out of mediatracker.

I fully agree on that. Again it's yet another not working option in the mediatracker. You might expect they would have gotten it right with the mediatracker this time but.......

Usualy you will have to edit your video in some external editor so you might aswell ad the slomo's there. That gives better quality anyway.
