Is there going to be a multiplayer mode utilising the random track generator? Racing split screen on an infinite playlist of random maps is just the kind of stupid fun I'd like to have for local co-op.

I think not.

Already on MP, tracks are those who are already in the databse.
Creating tracks on the go could be interesting... if there's a method to do the lightmap and the creator time before the match start.
So I don't think this is possible.

Just create a lot of tracks before and then add them on the room

I guess. Though just having the ability to validate in split screen would be quite good fun I'd imagine. Players would see the track unfold before having to race on it. I found watching a streamer get less than stellar generated maps quite hilarious, almost as funny as the struggles that followed.

When you go in multiplayer and select a mode, you can chose to use the random generator and don't have to validate the track to race it against your friends.

By the way, I saw that the lightmap calculation is really fast in Turbo. Will it be brought to MP ?
