I'm interested in the "win a PS4" thingy. How exactly will you be able to win it? Just by downloading the demo, or do you have to download and have to play the three matches a day? Are players who already own the game for a long time (like me) able to take part in the contest too?

Edit: Okay, i found the pdf-page for the contest... One question left: It says "To participate in this contest, you must have a valid ManiaPlanet account with the "ShootMania Elite" game activated and register on the ShootMania Elite Contest webpage at http://maniaplanet.com/shootmania/elite. I don't see any possibility to "register" there?

Actually there were many swedes in late Alpha because on Dreamhack there were free keys given out to the players. ^^

basically what they've done novation is, you can download the demo for free. this allows you to play 15 matches. then an additional 3 matches per day. If you win vip (aka. super guest access) you can then play as much as you like, no match limit. All of these matches are on the matchmaking server and not on public servers. You cant customise your horn and avatar because it is another reason why people should want to BUY the game. As it stands, you are able to play the game quite a lot, and if you decide you like it and want to play more,compete in competitions and have access to all the functions of the game, you can buy it, and there is an extra incentive because it is 50% off at the moment
The ps4 giveaway etc is all during ESWC also, (giveaway on November 1st, ESWC October 30 - Nov 3rd) and will help give shootmania a lot of advertisement around the time of the competition. good move releasing the free demo nadeo and I and a lot of other players are eager to see what you have planned in the near future. goodluck.

- Add custom horns & names & avatars. It are unimportant gimmics, but are a part of ur identity.

If I remember well, this is mostly for moderation problems, bad use of avatars, horns, etc...
