WorkInProgress - TrackMania Lake (idea)
Hi there,
I and a few others had the idea to start a big project last year. In this project we players of Trackmania 2 create our own environment and make it free. (or for a couple of Planets)
That may not sound all pretty over the top, but we can do something like that!

After the project was death, I tried to make new blocks. I made a (too) big (too big for the build-area) block and saw, that the standard-landscape-"mountains" looked like "islands"
This "retry" should now work and finally created a new "environment".
With easy methods we can create a new game:
- music can be imported
- the title can get a own interface
- drive with a other car. (it's possible to import a car and make it standard for this title?) -> read information below
- own maps
- Water!
- new blocks (new blockset)
- and many more...
There are excellent cars that were only modeled and created by players. At the moment the website ManiaPark has over 4.100 skins!
In publish betas of TitlePacks is a lightweight, get rid of it in ManiaPlanet-Store, or to make the ManiaFlash system for advertising.
It is for Mr.DVD, (the best campaign-creator in my eyes
), Sparkster, Shadi, Slartibartfast, Flighthigh and many more players no problem to create beautful maps!
The script tool is were Newly redesigned for those who are familiar with it. So it's no problem to create new content or improve new blocks in the standard-editor (I heared about, I don't know if it's possible)

So it is for us an experience when we make our own landscape for Trackmania 2, and to share our skills and results with others.
This is just a project idea and I hope Nadeo is therefore also agree, but if such a thing is developed, we can be proud of us.
This is an open project and anyone who is interested is welcome! There must be no report who wishes to participate but it is recommended a $08f.wιр to attach to his name.
In any stable program version then an alpha version is published as Dropbox and be accessible to everyone. (So we can create a public folder and everybody can upload new things)
We need all who want to participate, be sure and look forward to working together for a new Trackmania landscape.

And now (my) idea:
As I said earlier, it is possible to produce "Islands". Too large block which is larger than the build-area can accomplish this.
(Possible as in Trackmania RPG) If this consists of water, sea landscape is created.
I think, a new Environment focused on this idea can be called "TrackMania Lake" or "TrackMania² Bay" (I thought of the "A"
).
Technical Informations:
The envi is based on Valley and has the Canyon-car, so: It is based on the title "Trackmania" (with all three TM²-Games). Do you have a better idea? I'm open for all feedback

It's nice that you want to participate with you in mind!
None goes, but actually you can not create a completely new landscape. It is a mix of Valley and water. From Valley one sees really only the hill, the rest is covered by water.

I made a mod for Valley. Now it looks like a water-landscape without water.

The guys from RPG made a water-block. How to make a big block like this? We need it! Only the "Material" "Lake" have the texture of the water-ground in Valley.
Download it here (for build maps in the fufure (when exist water^^): deleted. Add a new on the beta1

try to do a plane that got transludant texture and put water texture on it, and remove the collision
So it will make "fake" water.

I worked on the landscape and now it looks so! Water! Thanks to Maxi031.

The project won't die!
But the hardest point: Custom blocks! Wee need a new blockset.
I can help out with simple blocks, like the concrete-block in canyon. Can anyone help?
