I've been trying to get my skin work all day... with little succes. I used GIMP to edit the dds files. I opened those files with DXTBmp and saved them as DDS DXT1 (NoAlpha) and I zipped all the files and put them in the model map jsut like the skins other people created. When i go to the game I can see the correct name for the skin but the icon + model are the basic shootman :( Anybody has any idea what could be the problem?

Up it and link us to your file. You might have an extra folder inside the .zip

Can't find the ShootMania.zip file!!

In the folder ''PacksCache'' are just 3 files:
1. Maniaplanet.pak
2. Maniaplanet.zip
3. Resource.pak

In the Maniaplanet.zip I have browsed EVERY SINGLE folder.. and there is no ArenaPlayerDefaultSkin.zip
Pls help me!
I wanna learn creating skins :)

All the best,
Soprah

impossible. go to launcher - help, find "common files" folder path, go there, then PacksCache. you should have tens of files there...

I've tried some tests with the glow, it seems the glow can only be in red tints (as are all custom made skins that are uplaoded.)
So as far as I know you can't change glow color atm (but im not really experienced in skin making so I might be wrong)

hope this helped a bit

Couldn't find it.
I started the maniaplanet-launcher, went to ''Help'' and there is no ''common files''. There is just ''Custom data''.

And when I choose ''Custom data-> Car skins-> Arena Player'' there aren't any files.
