In my opinion the development team does not take any responsibility about releases, previous releases went about the same way, but i never thought that they realy don't care about their product.
All the canyon servers crash due to missing roadblocks... this huge error could be prevented when the release was tested .
I bought this game to host a server and be able to create tracks, i sincerely hope that the stadium part will be compatible with the 'old' game so it will attrackt more players...
But i guess the attitude of some people need to be improved, i cannot nag about this release. When i mention that the focus is on Shootmania is should keep my mouth shut..
Please split the games so u can keep what is working online without having to nag / trouble the canyon players.....
I cannot get it through my skull that u can release this in such a way... and don't give a crap about what the players think... Ever heard about reverting a release, and tell u are sorry ? And will do a release when the product is ready for it ?
Maybe the development team can tell us how they released this ( testing etc etc etc )
Oh yeah u told me before, i may not complain because the development team has done a lot of coding... Pride comes before the fall....
The new blocks 'they' added are gone from the client and i guess they are also gone from the server....

Don't forget there are many improvements, especially in Storm Game, and the most important is not the ugly pseudo-3D interface (old-shool tentative ...?) but the ingame experience.
For that, the work on Storm is great. The new Royal Experience is a very good idea, but it's very unpleasant to see we cannot modify anything concerning the skills point management. Hope it will be possible soon
About Canyon, the server crashes are a very bad thing. But I bet Nadeo will be able to fix that since the week-end and so before christmas
What is appening now is also due to the open and not closed beta offer to players. I think the better thing should have been to properly inform the players and making them to clearly understand that the update is in Beta condition and should improve the game experience as it can change it completly. If everybody jump to the new version without know exactly what they are doing, it's normal to have a lot of disappointment.
Nadeo : About the interface, you should use methods seen with other companies by using some specific screenshots share with the community to know if it should work or no. The force of your players is the feedback they can give to you. Use it efficiently !

The official releasedate for Canyon was 14 August 2011.
But because of the decision to use the dedicated software for Canyon and Shootmania, and especially what happened yesterday, Canyon is back in beta.
So to my opinion there wont be a official release for Shootmania in Januar 2013!
Just because the same dedicated software that is used for Canyon and Shootmania will also be used for the beta of Valley and Stadium2. In fact all titles will be still beta till everything has been officially released as long as the same dedicated software has to be used for all titles.
In my opinion it is perhaps a better move to use seperate serversoftware for all upcoming titles and when everything is released, launch a beta just for the release of all titles together by trying to combine all seperate serversoftware.
I am a big noob in developing games, but making an already released title beta again by using new, not betatested software, isnt exactly userfriendly.

Excuse me? Maybe that's all nice when you have interest in Storm but Trackmania was quite good before that last downgrade. They just packed the wrong version without checking.

I sadly have to agree with this conclusion.
Tho, I'm not from NADEO: I'd like to remind you all that this topic is for the Dedicated Server of ManiaPlanet 2.
Please complain about the changed interface in some other topic...

I am totally agree with you. The situation for Canyon is a very bad thing. The worst is that players with the new version ... cannot play anymore online
But I still hope they will fix that quickly.
As some players said, Nadeo should test before publishing it ... but WE are the testers for now ...
For me this situation is ok for storm because it's a very new game mode, but for Trackmania it's an other story. I am convinced it was a bad idea to relase both updates at the same time. But is it possible with Maniaplanet to update only one game each time ... ?

je coupe tous mes server TM² car ca devien impossible je suprime les maps qui pose probleme a cose de bloc manquant
si je continue comme ca mes server ressemble plus a rien je prefere arrete en atendant la mise a jours dsl
PS mon ami niarfman va me traduire jespere lol

ABSOLUTELY AGREE!
Trackmania2 is kicked back to beta-state bei nadeo and Shootmania is kicked back to pre-alpha state in my eyes.
It will be NOT POSSIBLE for nadeo with the current state of both games, and especially for shootmania, to keep the release date of Shootmania at
23.01.2013! NO WAY ... NEVER!

I stop all my Tm² server because it's totally impossible to make them working well due to these missing blocs issues.
If I keep them online, The servers are not playable. I prefer waiting for an update resolving this in a few days. Sorry.
