Who needs fast acceleration when you got booster blocks.
Snow car has horrible acceleration. Liberal use of boosters fixes that.

Since the topic question is asking what new environment we'd like to see...

I'd like to see a TM environment based on motorcycles. Some sort of hybrid between dirt bikes and crotch rockets. I'm not sure what blocks you would need. It could be set in the city, with plenty of racing around the city.. as well as just outside the city... maybe in some area with dirt jumps. I think there's a lot of potential with this sort of environment.

It can. Newtons second law tells us that F=ma. A heavy car can accelerate just as fast as a light car, if it has a stronger engine.

you habe to consider the power related to the weight.
The photon can reach speed of light easily because it is so lightweight. Anything heavier can't fly this fast, or uses more and more energy and also more time to reach this speed.

The Veyron has enough power to make the car faster then (nearly) any other car.
So where is the "low top speed" then?
Or in other words, it is not really heavy for the power it has.

A heavy vehicle with "fast" acceleration and low top speed would be something like a truck, a bus or a tank, perhaps equipped with some electric or hydraulic system to overcome the initial inerty, as you certainly know that the start consumes most energy.

Quite unlikely, there must be a "A" in the enviro name. : p

High power engine + low gears = quick acceleration = low top speed.

TrackMania² Highlands (Ireland or Scottland, so a bit of Rally)
TrackMania² Moonlander or Marsrover (low speed but long endurance)
TrackMania² Transportations (zarexz' high power low speed stuff )
TrackMania² Underwater (futuristic city)

well, speed and desert doesn't work but the default model was called AmericanCar so... ^^
