Old blocs are removed from our production version and we have no intent to distribute them. We may use some to build others after, but not at the moment.
Maybe you are unaware of the concrete curved on the first trackmania cover story? ^_^

Damn, that attitude of some people. Like the are the investors for the game.
Anyway, is the ammount of blocks at the release of a francise gonna stay roughly the same, like Canyon? Or can we expect more block updates for each game on a regular base?

I read somewhere that there will be somehow a "team system". Can you give a little bit more informations about this?

It would be very nice if you can fix the following problems [...]
For this kind of problems, please write a report in the
ShootMania Storm Reports and please stay on topic here. This is a Question and Answer thread. Thx.

Makc86, like TCQ said, please make a report with your log file, since you have an issue that I don't see here on textures.
And flaws for blocs can be others than visual quality. For example, the concrete curves where having the camera to go through them when we played. So people asking the curves where doing a big mistake by doing so. Others can be link to the quantity of texture used, and create memory issues like you showed ^_^
jojoba007, we are releasing the 1.3 today with import of object. I don't think the answer to your question will matter much after ^^ Anyway, we still have more blocs to bring into the game.
Tcq: work under progress, you will see later.

How are theses objects used? Is it the gamemode or the mapper who place them on the map?
Does it "replace" the import of bloc?

we will release the specs before the 1.4 (asap)
and we had to give up on object importer on the 1.3

arf too bad
still if you can show us specs and maybe examples before the release it could be better in order that people can start making some tests without the game

How much memory on the videocard is necessary to display all the textures in the highest quality?
You already got many answers from The Creator himself, and if he says he can't answer there, he won't be able to answer here as well
However your question is still very interesting, also for others.
But the answer is really not this easy since on one side, to many things are dynamic and changing as ManiaPlanet 2.0 and the new games for it evolve.
A more precise answer could be given when ShootMania is ready and when nothing changes this much as currently.
Please also don't forget on the other side that the usage of video memory depends also on screen resolution (or window size), and of any gimmicks and video settings you have chosen.
E.g. a different texture filtering setting, different mipmap setting, or using triple buffers instead of double buffers affect memory a lot.
So there cannot be a general answer like it was possible with games like 10 or 20 years ago
Perhaps something like "video cards need 1GB and more". But on which settings this is based?
Nadeo would have to write 1GB with 1920x1200, AA8x, etc.
But this would still only be valid for current maps. There could be a map which loads the card more than ever before, especially with new custom titles and the future object import.
