That (plus probably some others) makes it a few ... on the other hand TM2-Stadium is in the top 10 of Steam topsellers. So their approach is not the worst.

Alex, we can indeed have announced last week that is was going to be released, but if you are talking about 'marketing' like you said, you would have to agree that announcing stuff during E3 heat is not that great. So, we kept the trailer for release. Before date, the date were uncertain and already on delay (Steam was putting Mai)

We could have thanked better the player who played the free open beta, but I don't think that your 'outrageous' or 'pathetic' are deserved, especially since it was a free open beta and that the best way to thank them is anyhow to include elements of their reports and wishes.

Yup, and this is due mostly to what I said, immediate profit is definitely what they're trying to get here, but on the long term it's not a smart move, community is the key of TM, lose it, and you lose the interest of the game, and i'm afraid that's what is going to happen, now that Stadium is no more accessible for all.

I'm pretty sure that during Stadium² beta Canyon and Storm sales increased, i can't find numbers but i know lots of people in the community, and lots of them bought other Nadeo games because they played Stadium for free.
A Freezone-like system would not disturb me, that you could anyway combine with ingame ads, you could even remove solo campaign for it, or even LP's, people would understand. Without the Stadium community i dont think Nadeo would have became what it is, and trackmania so popular.

I will probably buy the game anyway, because i love TM, but i'm disappointed on how you guys handled the release, i did not expect you to do that.

Oh and if my messages seemed pretty unclear, it might have been because i was really high at this time, apologizes for that

And you're telling me you decided today to release it... today? I find that pretty hard to believe, you'll excuse me.

We decided of this date around two weeks ago, but things can change and announcement are sometimes complicated to do, especially during E3.

Well an annoucement during E3 is still better than no annoucement, isn't it ? (And i'm not meaning in E3 but on your website or ingame)

Community already was not so willing to move to tm², it's now divided even more than it was since open beta began, most people don't see the point of having to spend 10e on a game with same gameplay as one which is free, if Stadium never was free, or was a new environment i would find the price and all great, but it's not.
