Why are those who already have the full game getting it?

Demo now on Steam (see also the demos list). Edit: Still requires the Uplay client, btw.

Before this Maniaplanet 4 update, I could normally play Trackmania 2 Valley demo for example. through maniaplanet, of course. But now after this strange update, I cannot find a way to play for example Lagoon demo, or Valley demo (although they are installed and present in my steam library). I just have the option to go and buy full game..
What freaking detail am I missing here??

You miss the detail that you can only join on channels now. No more global demo wherever you want. Only channels and shceduled programs

so basically there is no demo anymore, although you can "install" Lagoon demo on Steam
