You nailed it =)mvv0105 wrote:You don't will see flying pigs/music stations/helicopters/funky billboards, that's all. (because TM2 is serious game for serious guys)
But it's not really about seriousness, it's more about leaving space to player's personality and creativity.
Title packs ( such as RPG or RAID for instance) would suffer very much of a very strong artistic input.
This is also one of the reasons for the 64x64 decoration without the stadium.
A Title Pack with fun and strong visual stuff such as the things you find in TM Turbo can be made on top of maniaplanet's environments because they try to leave place for expression.
The negative aspect being they may feel a bit austere.

Yeah like you I expected my name to be taken but not this. I would have just put 'NL' behind the name or something. My name is even taken on Steam so I'm used to it, there are over 10 ganjarider's in there, and in plenty other games too, there's even a pro eve-online player with my name. And well I'm not that surprised, every mmo bans the word ganja but I hoped it would not happen in TM. I guess the bigger the game company the more ban words, and I guess Nadeo just got big! That's a good thing right. I think...Zooz wrote:That's terrible.GanjaRider wrote:Just got the PC version aswel. But I can't choose my nickname in Uplay? I knew this day would come when Nadeo sold its game to Ubisoft. I feel discriminated.
I also could not be Zooz, because the name was already taken... But this is worse
I dug into my old cd collection to remisnisce why I was ever such a fan of that name. Found it!

True Playaz were the same guys as The Ganja Kru. That first super sharp shooter cd was from 1996, it's 2016 now, look how far we got. I'm still looking at the boxed PC version of Turbo lying on my desk. Think I'll put in the closet and let it gather dust until the world is ready for the word ganja.
Please listen to this and turn up the volume!
The Ganja Kru - Super Sharp Shooter
The Ganja Kru - No Fear
Ah man so much good memories from dancefloors. Well back to questions and answers.

I think that it's a bad idea to create a boring game just for a few mods. Nadeo's main goal should be to create a great game.Fix wrote:But it's not really about seriousness, it's more about leaving space to player's personality and creativity.

Trackmania Turbo could have been excellent but it is limited because the PC version is the same as the console one. Maniaplanet won't keep the things which are good in Trackmania Turbo...

I just asked you that question. And I was sure of what I was saying because some Nadeo member already said this some time ago.

Re: Questions & Answers Trackmania Turbo
I wonder why people are buying TMT on PC? Lot of Stadium servers, lot of Canyon servers and all that you already has in TM2 or even TMNF (stadium). I'm looking for Lagoon server every time I log in to this game and I found only empty ones (sometimes one person plays on his own one single room map). Why buy this game with new nice env if everyone still plays old envs only?
Re: Questions & Answers Trackmania Turbo
(I'll be just waiting, when someone port TM Turbo into ManiaPlanet.)
(All TM campaigns into one game, why not?...)

Problem is that it also mean that even the very new TM players don't want to play Lagoonrat_in_car wrote:I wonder why people are buying TMT on PC?
