Re: Poll: boxed or download version?

I don;t think those prepay cards had to be used to buy TMUF, but it could just be another payment way.

Hylis wrote: Paiement methods are still being worked out, but we are also taking good care that players will have access to it from many ways. It depends of countries and there are many evolution in that way. Just look at paysafecard if you want to see one, but there are many other ways.

I was just pointing that there are more and more solutions to pay online. We also have an experience with United that sold some units in digital distribution
I think only a boxed version isn't better than only a download version. Just look, some people won't ever be able to buy the boxed version of TM² because it's just not available in their stores - if they even have stores. And then there are some people who have a fast internet and don't want to walk/drive the way to the next store.Ripbox wrote:Boxed version

They just clicked on this option because they can't get the boxed game and/or didn't think of people who can't download the game and so clicked on Download version instead of Both... or they just clicked a random option.Download version

these are the people that haven't got a clue... the ones that cant quite comprehend that one day the internet could stop working altogether or the distributor could one day go into administration
This was the option I chose. It's fair to everyone and doesn't have any disadvantages. People who can't download the game can buy it in a store and vice versa, and people who can do both can choose how to buy TM². There's no better option. Both

No, they just don't care about this because they either are able to do both things, or they didn't think of people who can't download, or they're annoyed of that discussion because they think it's useless. (which it might not be though, the poll results are a clear proof that only a download version isn't good.I don't care

these are just plain and simple greedy people ( i want to call them worse but wont) they want it now and if they don't they will stamp their feet cry for mummy (silver spoon anyone?)

thats exactly what I thinkKnutselmaaster wrote:I get the impression that a lot of people that vote against digital distribution did not read and/or understand this whole discussion.
They don't want it because they don't have creditcards...
There are (relatively) few people that cannot download it, but there are lots without creditcards.
And, with all due respect, the youngsters that say they cannot buy are talking nonsense, i ask myself how many have a job/earn there own money.
There aren't many....
The money they have is given to them by adults (pocketmoney, birthday presents etc) and as such they only have cash money, or restricted bank accounts.
So, if there is going to be a way to prepay internet credit that is largely available, only people with really bad internet connections cannot download.
The "i don't want to wait 18 hours for the download to finish" is a bit strange too imo, how much time passes from the moment you decide to buy something, untill the moment that you leave your house to go to the shop, buy it and come home again?
I mean, you decide, tomorrow after work/school i will buy the game!
Well, in that case it takes 18 hours too (or even more)
Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against boxed versions, but i just don't understand the arguments of the people that insist on a boxed version.
you are welcomeelitechris wrote:You're both right. But I have to say: thanks to wiidesire i finally understood what's going on here and - as you could noticed - even if I thought before, that this is a credit card payment, I still didn't give up.And now, knuts and wiides centralised everything on this page and proved us how easy is to buy this game.
I also think those arguments about "I have to wait so much hours to download the game" are weird and nonsense.
