Tell us more about that. :)
I have no idea what plugin could be usefull in the map editor.

Having the grammar and the API of the ManiaScript language would be great.

In addition to that, tell me more about the syntax.

*Please no PHP-like syntax* :ugeek:

Anyhow, back to TM2 at E3! :P

I just want to thank Hylis for being honest and straightforward with us about things like the engine sounds in the trailer. It's nice to see a developer that is so honest about what they're doing.

dejavu will think I'm ass-kissing now. I don't care. I meant what I said. :geek:

Actually it's very nice from you to be honest, Hylis :)
We all got fooled
But that doesn't matter that much. More important was, that everyone gets excited about the game. And it really worked. So I have no problem, that you fooled us. ;)

This E3 presentation looks so as if one person has given to another a huge brilliant, and that other person hasn't found any other purpose of it except using it for hammer in nails in wooden boards,
so he build ugly shaky wooden stool and show it to us with all that pathos. Yes brilliant is still on the scene but as dirty tool....

One of my friends has thought (after i show him a trailer) that this a puzzle game where we need to build tracks to direct many cars to end point, like Lemmings game. Yes it is stupid and i am shocked too, and i have to explain to him what the TM is, but i can't explain to him why TM is so cool, because he asks me simple thing -"if it is not a puzzle game, so what is the snap of that game?".

I think the only eye-fired persons like Hylis or other highly inspired TrackManiacs can explain greatness of this game with out footage (really, what about this presentation is ?).

I'm start thinking that coolness of TM2 it is just my imagination.
I hope i will be overpersuaded soon.

Nadeo is not selling a new game to us, that already know how powerfull and wonderfull is trackmania, but nadeo have to sell the game to new people, that never tried other versions of tm.
Yesterday with that trailer they failed! And common, i don't accept you to say " what do you guys expect?, the trailer was awesome, hear the sound of the car :o :o :o " -.-

No this is not the way nadeo have to sell the game.. as i already posted on tmx:
.dejavu wrote:btw, trailer was really "cool" and breathtaking, but common, these girls gave a vision of a childish game here!
During the presentation i was reading the comments on the right side chat, and ppl was not that happy.. they said something like "hotwheels", and others stuffs like that..
I expected:
-See florent on the theater
-A game play video, like ubisoft did with all the games he presented .. Why no gameplay video of tm2? bah..
-Something more about maniaplanet.. what's going to be?
-Tell how already big is the comunity and world around trackmania, and not just "10'000'000 of players"

Imo, they failed a bit here..
They didn't showed how good is this game.. they only focused on a breathtaking trailer, but without let the spectator know what ubisoft is going to sell and what players are going to buy!!

Im disappointed, but just about the presentation and not about the game ;)
As i already said, the most of you are just "loving" (in my country we say "Ass licking") nadeo, and thank him for everything.. why?
Nadeo to our eyes is the person that brought to us an awesome game such trackmania, but what's the vision of other people, that never tried the game and don't know how good it is? They don^'t know nadeo, and imo he didn't gave the right vision to the players...

And than.. if there were no time, why a game like "RAYMAN ORIGINS" got such a lot of time? I know it's a historical game, really famous that made the history of ubisoft.. but while whatching it it didn't was that good. Im asking why a game like that had more relevance over Maniaplanet (acutally a new concpeption of "sharing, adventure, and.." wtf said mr.caffeine?
I hope the best for TM2, and the "Tiny" Nadeo but i agree with dejavu...
Is like a puzzle: FreeZone, No gameplay, No Maniascript documentation example, Short Video......
Now only some pieces of the puzzle are missing and will be comlpeted soon.

Ah i have to refresh some minds. Users online are 4000, where are the other 9.996.000 players?????
Finally i love the work Nadeo Team is doing, is really big, cause the "MAD" idea is a great idea.
I just don't share the way they do marketing, that's all.
Go Nadeo Go!!

Overall, I was very impressed with the presentation. Fans here have to consider the strength of the ManiaPlanet IP in comparison to the others that were shown. I hate to say it here (dons flame vest), but TM2:Canyon is at best a sleeper hit in Ubisoft's stable in comparison to Ghost Recon, Assassin's Creed, etc. Yet, ManiaPlanet has uber-uber potential, which can keep growing and growing.

Anyway, it still got some very strong press attention from that short bit. That's a very good thing.

Thanks also to Hylis for taking time to write here. :)

Man, you misunderstood me.. I don't like the way the people here defends nadeo in everything! It's like they act like that to obtain something or to be "friends" of nadeo, maybe [s]to join the closed beta[/s]? lol

I love nadeo

But i think people have too much expectations. Nadeo is a very small game developer and you should be glad they even got the chance to get promoted at Ubi's press conference.
Also it will be playable at their stand, so i bet some tm fans will play it and capture it.

Last year, Yves (hope i got it right) told us about maniaplanet, so we know the info from there.
Be patient people and let Nadeo dot heir work, dont hijack Hylis in order to reply on this forum, he should work on the beta instead ^_^
