If they use styling of this last prototype (not layout) or another good style, that would be already better and enough I think. The layout and usability of MP interface are already good, no need to change.

Edit: talking about interface outside titlapacks here.

I don't agree.
Settings and options are scattered all over the place, profile settings differ when you're IN or OUTSIDE of a titlepack, you have to enter a title to get to the editor and you cannot validate a Combo map in Elte Titlepack.

Many things like those are far from user friendly.

I don't care about the looks of the menu. It needs to be intuitive and easy to navigate.
So spending time on an artistic redesign of the same usibility problems, is a complete waste of time for me.

PS: If you guys are having fun with your redesigns, I'm not stopping you.
But saying, the usability was already great? Please don't make fools out of yourself.

That's where I disagree, cause the truth is, the truth is, weather you agree to disagree or not with liking it.

yes, exactly Urinstein. I agree with you!
The whole system at the moment is very very complex. This is not the fault of the menu design. Looks won't change a thing here.
Incompatibilty between Titles is high and annoying. There has to be a slightly bigger change than just the looks of the menu.

I just wanna point out that with MP3 there have been some changes adressing some usability things, like havin a lot more settings in the dropdown menu for graphics and such.

So Nadeo is obviously trying to improve on these things. Maybe if we find the motivation we can just make another thread rambling about menu navigation and let this thread be about the menu's eyecandy properties. ^^

The other thread needs to address said title incompatibilities, too.
But yes, it sounds good to gather ideas of how to simplify Maniaplanet. Many heads have more and better ideas

UrinStein, I mean layout of MP interface outside titlepacks that recenly discussed prototype is changing. It might need small fixes in some places, but overall it is good. Just my opinion.

Up. It might be time to get rid of that senseless 3D interface and relook it to current design trends :
Image

Flat design. If I ever look out any recent videogames, they all had a fancy interface conception. If I ever look out videogames boxes, they all have display least one car. And if I ever compare Maniaplanet, then as far as I know from many videogames I played, it is the only gaming experience, that had never yet acquired both details.

Well, I'm just posting an interface concept idea that we maybe all want it to be introduced in the game. Colorful, dynamic, and it is notably though for touch interaction. By dynamic is rolling demos on the background, and on the envrionment selected, and also, the pictograms animating themselves to notify the user.
