Item pickups

In Ωuake for example, you have Megahealths, Armor, Extra Damage modifiers...
I was thinking for the Elite mod, for example you could add a item which gives the player who picks it up an increase of two armor points, So if the Attacker gets it, he would have a max of 5 armor points (assuming there is 3 to start with), and the Defender would need to be railed twice to be killed if he gets it...
And make this item spawn like 15 sec after the start and put it out in a open area , which would a add a huge element of risk award because either of the teams could bait the item.
