Activate/desactivate Damage?

As we know, there will be no collision in TM²(like always, no surprise here), but damages(yay!)
Maybe it is already done, maybe surely, but this suggestion and question is ?
Can we Desactivate/Activate the damage in TM2?
Even if I have a good PC, I will talk for the people who have a bad PC.
Damage on the cars should be alot for some PC's, so maybe we could have some Options where we can disable it, and it would be good for compétitions too, beacause having a crashed car isn't very motivating for a comp. (that's just an idea, hard to explain).
I think I made my point here.
So what do you think ?

Can we Desactivate/Activate the damage in TM2?
I think it will be possible. Every good racing game with damage has the option to turn the damage on/off. So why shouldn't it be included in TM² as well?

As stated by Hylis, even bad/weak PC's will be able to run TM² without lags or other problems:

Sure it could be nicer on bigger, but it is quite nice and at a very good framerate on little configuration. It is even hard to believe (but obviously, we have too, since we did it ourselves

) our test map in TM² runs at 50-60 fps on a Acer Revo that I bought one year ago. It does not mean it will at release or multiplayer, but we think it is even faster than Nations.
Taken from the Centralised News topic, chapter "The system requirements to run the game"

I still was able to understand you (I think ^^). I don't think cars will stay damaged after you damaged it in a race. I think they'll be automatically repaired when you finish the race and start a new one. And that would also mean you'd always be able to take part in a competition with a brand-new looking undamaged car. You wouldn't have to worry about racing with a car which is damaged, and even if it was damaged, that damage would only be optical and not affect the car physics and your times on the tracks. (And I don't think the look of the cars will count in the competitions.)

Actually I think the same thing.
But When you play a comp, when you crash you lost your motivation for the round, when the car is "damaged" it makes you lost MORE motivation.
I don't know yet, wait to have the game.

I know what you mean. Indeed it would be strange to win a competition with a heavy damaged car. Possible in FET for example.
But on the other hand it would be stupid, if the car repairs itself by time.
So i prefer to have no visual damage in competitions

I read that there will be challenges where you need to finish with a damage less than a certain percentage.
In that case it cannot be deactivated.
So, if it can be deactivated, you won't be able to play all tracks.
Servers would be separated into "damage" and "no damage".
The consequences of such a setting make me think it won't be possible to deactivate it.

What about activating/deactivating damage set to map? Some maps will be with damage and another without damage. It's on creator of map to deactivate damage

Good question.
I read in an article that is linked on this forum.
I'm looking all over, but haven't found it yet.
