I dont think there will be a discount for tm united owners, but maybe there are some extra planets for activating the tmu keys

like you get coppers for activating tms or tmo

This is an awful suggestion.
The point is that Trackmania 2 is supposed to be a new game with a fresh start, where everyone are treated equally. Now I don't see any point in this, I mean if I played, lets say Portal, would that mean I would have the right to use more portals in Portal 2, just because they got the first version? k does not make sense.

Discounts for for TM2 at the initial release makes no sense for Ubisoft. We, the captive audience will purchase the game as long as the price is reasonable.

Which we have absolutely no reason to believe it won't, and on the other hand have every reason to believe t will.

Ubisoft, take my suggestion with some leniency, but I would be willing to pay $60+ for a game I can trust will be fantastic.

That's not really a fair comparison. A better comparison would be that people with a Portal 1 key can unlock a special hat or skin in Portal 2. Nothing that gives the person an advantage over others, but merely gives them something free for supporting the series from the start.

There is nothing wrong with giving players something superficial for being long time players/supporters.

If you come with the portal 2 example, then there is a funny thing. When i bought portal 2 pre order, they gave me a free download key for portal 1. Does this make me now a long time supporter? :)

3 years WoW subscription+expansions = 600€

6 years TM tmo+tms+tmu = 100€

I almost feel guilty I had so many years of fun for such a low price. So Ill happily pay the full price for TM2 ;)

That makes me realize that the price doesn't change much for TM².
About 1 environment per year (hopefully more, but that is about what is expected) and about 5 environments for TM² in total, about €20 per environment...
5x20= €100 for 5 years.
That is really acceptable imo.
If you look at the hours spent in the TM games, especially compared with 80% of the €60 or more costing games that are sold nowadays, that can be finished in around 20hrs and have no replay value what soever, or in case of sports games, have a new edition coming out each and every year with almost nothing new but some other names for the players and a tweak or two....
If i take my kids to mc donalds it costs me more than TM²!
