Stamina or what is it (holding jump)

Hi guys, can you explain what should do holding of jump key (? because i don's see difference between normal playing (or jumping) and playing (or jumping) with holded it

you run faster when holding it, while you have stamina (the bar on the right).

then it should be there little more stamina (energy), shouldn't it?

why? it refills quite quickly imho.

yes it refills quickly but in my opinion it's too short
