Jailbreak is a custom gametype. The rules are:
- Eliminate your opponents to send them to jail.
- Free your teammates currently in jail by standing next to the goal.
- Be the first to send all your opponents to jail in the allotted time to score 1 point.
- The first team to reach the point limit wins.

You win 1 point each time you hit an enemy and 1 point for every teammate that you free.

Advices:
- You have to stay on the goal to keep the jail opened.
- It isn't possible to open the jail if there is also an enemy on the goal.
- The jail doors can close while you are trying to escape. Look at what's happening on the goal to see if you will have enough time to escape.

Play
To play it, you can join the server BCZ Jailbreak (maniaplanet://#join=bczteam2@SMStorm).

Map
There are many Jailbreak maps on mania-exchange.

If you are interested in building a jailbreak map, you will need 2 files:
Save Jailbreak.Script.txt in Documents\ManiaPlanet\Scripts\Modes\ShootMania\
Save JailbreakArena.Script.txt in Documents\ManiaPlanet\Scripts\MapTypes\ShootMania\

In a Jailbreak map, there are 2 Spawns, 2 JailSpawns and 2 Goals.
To create the doors of the jails, you have to place some off-zones.
For a map using a simple layout, you have to place every #1 items on one side of the map and every #2 items on the other side of the map.
Check this screenshot to see the configuration of a simple Jailbreak map.

Advices:
- Players will try to escape "illegally" from jail. Try to prevent this by doing high walls.
- Some players away from keyboard will stay in the spawn. Don't make the spawns unreachable to let the players eliminate the AFK enemies.
- Players in jail like to know when the jail will open and close. Make the goal visible from the jail.
- When the jail is opened, every off-zones are deactivated. Try to only use off-zone for jail doors to prevent strange behavior.
- Players will try to go to their team goal. Place it far away to force the players to fight against the enemy while going to their goal.
- Players often get bored in jail. You can let them shoot outside of the jail to occupy them.
