Trackmania 2 has a split screen mode to the 4 players, so I think that nothing gets in the way that this mode to add into shootmania for local play with friends (and maybe bots )

How do you imagine 4 people playing FPS in split screen ? Especially, if we talk about PC, on a desktop-sized screen ?

for example, like Serious Sam

players can use gamepads or keyboard + mouse

I mean, in such game as SM, it is no that easy.

If we take resolution of 1920x1080, and split it to four.

We'll get 4 areas, where each has 10 inch diagonal (let's take 20" screen).
We'll get 4 areas, where each has resolution of 960x540.
It's good for fun @ LAN or single player, but it is not viable in any form of non-casual multiplayer.

I mean here is that the game had an alternative for players offline

If you think that 4 players is too much to consider only 2 players

Ofline 4 players are good

I meant, that it is not good to play in a championship on splitscreen

I like the idea of a two-player splitscreen, I think this is manageable.
But I could imagine this is already planned or ready to go in a later beta or in the final version...

I am talking here only about offline Splitscreen for local play with friends (and maybe bots if shootmania might be to have them )

Bot's would be great, mainly from tracking the route's in the newly-made maps.
