In what way does it feel weird? Have you disabled windows acceleration with the registry fix?

set the y axis to 1.0 that was perfect for me I think 1 mirrors setting to make y-axis same as x-axis, hence .5 y-axis would 1/2 x-axis so if x-axis setting was 3.0 and you set y-axis to .5 y-axis would equal 1.5 get it?

I'd be surprised, and horrified, if that's how sensitivity worked. Chances are the sensitivity value is a multiplier of a base value set by the game, with each axis being independent of the other.

It doesn't feel like it's independant, I think y-axis is indeed a multiplier from x-axis. I play with 0.19 x-axis sensitivity while I have 1 on y-axis. I would have felt a major difference if it was independent.
Yeah, pretty weird.

it doesnt feel natural at all if u got different sensitivities on ur x and y axis. on quake and counter strike the y and x axis sens are the same i blv or i just got used to it after years playing these games. if i go on shootmania now it feels weird as hell to have different sensitivies on each axis. i wish anybody would find a value or formula or whatever to get the correct y axis value for each sensitivity.

Doesn't it say something like 'Y ratio'?
The way it was set by default felt really unnatural to me, but I changed the Y settings from 0.5 to 1.0 and it feels completely normal to me. So that's sensitivity 1.0 and Y 1.0.

I'm -fairly- sure that if you have the Y set to 1.0, it'll be the same sensitivity as your X, whatever you set the sensitivity to.
