Hi,

So got the invitation to ShootMania beta and installed everything and so on. After installing ManiaPlanet said that it doesn't have a benchmark of my GPU so it tested it (some window popped up, some text showed on it and it closed). Got Gigabyte GTX 560 TI 448 (and CPU i5-3570K). Nothing is overclocked or anything. RAM 8GB. 64-bit Win7 (Home Premium).

SO back to the bug. When I click play, nothing starts, just the ManiaPlanet launcher quits. when I try to start it again, it says "The game is no longer responding. Do you want to ask him to exit with crash information ?" and after clicking OK it just stays lingering in the task manager and nothing happens. Got to close it from task manager to start the launcher again. Been trying different settings, even the safe mode but nothing seems to help.

Any information you need? Any tips on how to get this working?

I'm having this bug too, however the strange thing is that the first time I tried to run the game, it worked perfectly. Now, on the next day, I am getting the exact bug that you describe.

Anyone got a solution yet?

I tried reinstalling the game. When it goes to benchmark after saying it has no idea what my graphics card is, the benchmark just shows a logo and then the window just goes black. Tried waiting for 5 minutes, didn't help. And still won't start.

I reinstalled it about 3 times, but I never got this benchmarking that you're talking about. It seems like it's saving my computer details from the previous installations.

The benchmark doesn't work great I think (it's in the launcher/Configure/Advanced).

It launches the benchmark when I first start the launcher. First a prompt with only OK comes up which says "Your video card performance has not been found. A quick bench will be performed." and then after OK it just tries to run the benchmark.

The 448 version is a bit of a limited edition thing so could this be about that? I think it should be able to run the game since it runs Diablo 3 just fine (constant 60 fps with vsync and all maxed out).

I wonder why I'm not getting this benchmarking when I start up for the first time after a reinstall...

Probably just because your GPU is a bit more known than mine, ManiaPlanet already probably has some suggested settings for it while for my card it does not. Might be unrelated but if it's related, then probably different issue..

Strange though, because everything else you're describing is the same.

Maniaplanet was running fine up until a few days ago. Now the launch window comes up, I click on "Play" like normal, then the screen flickers a bit and nothin. Nothing showing up in applications or processes in Task Manager. What gives? I don't want to have to reinstall and run the risk of losing my tracks.
