Installation

After you've downloaded the file, you need to move it into the correct folder.

Go to your personal folder for ManiaPlanet. By default you should be able to find it here:
C:\Users\<YOUR NAME>\Documents\ManiaPlanet

From there, navigate to the folder where crosshairs are stored. Crosshairs can be found here:
<PERSONAL FOLDER>\Skins\Crosshairs

Please don't forget to replace <YOUR NAME> with the name of your Windows account and <PERSONAL FOLDER> with the path to your personal folder for ManiaPlanet.

Now move the downloaded file into the Crosshairs directory. If you get prompted to replace an existing file, please cancel the operation and rename one of the two conflicting files to avoid accidental loss of data.

After the file has been placed in the correct folder, open ShootMania, get a game going and while in-game, press Escape.
Select "Advanced Options".
Select "Interface Settings".
Inside the gray box on the right side of your screen select "Select", which can be found in the lower left corner.
Click on "dot.zip"
Select "Open"

Congratulations! You should now be able to use this crosshair.

If you want to make your own crosshairs, but dont have the money for Photoshop, I suggest at least trying GIMP, in combination with the DDS Plug-In.

Nice and clean.
An advice - try to experiment with teal and lime borders, that might increase the visibility of the dot.

Because i dont know what the hell im doing. Until now i wasnt even aware you could arbitrarily change the color of the crosshair.

Ill look into supporting that.

EDIT: Updated the crosshair to support color selection.
