[Mediatracker] Sky effects (Integrated)

Now here's something I just thought of as I was perusing some of the older pics...the original two canyon photos shown at the original teaser of Maniaplanet had a very sandy and dry-looking sky, which, I personally thought was pretty epic looking. Anyway, my idea is to add some sort of mod or ability in Maniaplanet, short of weather effects, to change the way the sky looks. Like, if it's not actually raining, at least have the ability to go from a clear piercing blue sky to a grayish overcast...or something of that liking. Maybe as a tool in mediatracker--hence the title.
(And yes I know there's something like this tool in mediatracker already with the color-change effects...but I never could get it to work right.

)

You can change the appearance of the sky by using a mod in previous TM editions, so i think this will come back for TM².
Or do you mean constantly changing skies?

I didn't know of a sky-mod other than the UVME, but it still only really made the skies more HQ...they were still only one weather-effect per environment...usually nice and a clear blue.

But no, I don't mean constantly changing skies.

I mean having the sky be either a clear blue, or a gray and cloudy overcast, or something in between, if it's not planned to add full-on weather effects (rain, falling snow, fog) Purely cosmetic, of course.

To be fair, i don't see the need to get it implemented, because you are there for driving and not for looking. And as far as i can see from looking at the trailer, it looks definitely awesome enough to be played. (Not that i can ever run the game with that graphical settings, but anyway i think using such sky effects may be raising the hardware requirements and therefore are a no go (like the day/night change).
If this would be able to be implemented without needing to much graphical power, why not. But it's not needed, at least not right now. Maybe later due to updates

Yes, you are there for looking, else why use MT at all? Why not just drive blocks with wheels? TM has always had AMAZING visuals, and that's what contributed to the sense of reality in the game--that this could really be happening, somewhere, somehow.

And with all these "new" racing games (Burnout, NFS, even Gran Turismo) getting rid of editor and replay features, hell, even discarding LAN features, TM is really the only racing game I play anymore. And so that's why I suggested that. Like I said before--there are really only a few tweaks that I personally would like, that yes, they're fantasies, but if they were implemented, TM would go from being the top racing game on my list to literally being the ONLY racing game on my list.
